Sorry to disappoint you... but this really is a blog about pickles.

I have found the perfect pickle. It's Vlasic zesty dill spears. I love them! Sometimes can't get enough of them. I have even eaten a whole jar at a time, and multiple times. This pickle fettish has only been for the last 6 months or so, and I don't really know why. I didn't even have a pickle craving when I was pregnant (then it was hot fudge sundaes and cheese enchiladas!). Could I have a deficiency in something pickles provide? I don't think so, they really have no nutritional value.

But not all pickles are the same. Although I always get the same kind (why wander from perfection?), sometimes they are too soft or too hard. Sometimes the taste is really spicey, and sometimes too bland. (Perhaps I should write Vlasic?)

Anyway, this morning I had another craving for pickles. I decided to close up the store and run to Safeway, just a few storefronts away. Oh don't worry, I put up the sign that reads "Be Right Back" -- cuz if I don't, people get pissed at ya. After I got back, I was set for the day: munchies and a big bottle of water (cuz pickles pack a lot of salt!). I dive into the pickes only to find them... too hard and not spicy enough. What a disappointment! Maybe tomorrow morning I'll try another jar!

I like pickles too, but only dill pickles. Never sweet pickles. And I love olives, green olives with the pimento in the middle. I just finished off the last few of a small jar this afternoon. Have you ever tried dill pickles and chocolate cake? Yummy good!

Thanks Jenna, I'm sure we'll be chattin a lot!

And Mimi, no thanks to pickles and cake. But have you ever tried chocolate chili, and if so, what is it? That doesn't sound too appealing! Love green olives (stuffed w/ garlic) and only dill... pretty much anything pickled is fair game! Oh, and ya can't forget the miniature pepperoncinis! My mouth is watering...

It's got to be the salt!!!  I love dill pickles, as much as they make me have to crap!  Olives are very salty too...love thos martini olives, the big ones!  Yummie...pepperoncini's, the "Pastene" brand.  Oh, I could sit here and eat those all day.  Good for a bad headache.  I actually get pissy when I eat one that tastes generic, lol!

Mimi!!!  I Gagged reading that, lol!

You really should try it--the combination of sweet and salty is killer. I discovered this when I was a kid.
My favorite kind is Claussen Dill Pickles.
