Every democracy in the world has granted certain rights and duies to all the law abiding citizens. A citizen has certain rights which confers upon him the right to vote and elect a government for a stipulated period of time. It becomes the duty of every citizen to respect the law of the land and pay taxes as per law. This also applies to the family as well. If you have a right in the home , there are certain duties towards the family and the home. We are conscious of our rights but we forget our duties. The politicians have a right to be elected to govern the people and the country. It is their duty to work for the welfare of the people and allviate their sufferings.  In practice, however in every sphere of life, one is extremely conscious of his right and forgets his duty.  How can we strike a balance between the two ?
