  I think there is another way to tackle this.  I don't know if this will help but there is an internet task force that monitors dialog regarding pedophilia.  I don't know how it works and I don't know if it has to be dialog between an adult and a child.

  shekinah: trust me, this won't work. i understand your reasons and i respect them, but this isn't the way to go about this. what you're suggesting is that they censor and/or violate the confidentiality/anonymity of users. that very concept is key to how soulcast works. that same freedom must be extended to slime as well as to everyone else.

  Ed: The censorship thing should have some limits - pedophilia is one of them. And the other argument, that is.... the freedom of speech argument while valid, doesn't come into it as far as i'm concerned. Freedom of speech is one thing, but speech that can further and promote the activities of mindless, sick criminals is another (like giving them an avenue to talk and discuss and compare notes and get off on a criminal activity... hello???)... we need to protect all children and all minors from all predators. It's impossible for them to be consensual.

  There is no reason, censorship or not, why anyone should have to be subjected to his perverted life.  What's even more disturbing is that it's possible (likely) that he has a list of victims.  Minor's can't legally consent to anything!  I wouldn't be surprised if that so called friend of his is actually him!
   
  In closing, I highly doubt that soulcast wants to be involved in any sort of litigation, more importantly being associated with pedophiles or having soulcast turn into a forum for pedophiles.  I would at least hope not...I hope that they reconsider and remove his blog.

  another thing i've noticed is when any mention is made of doing something about this dickhead, the post gets bumped off the first few pages of the site. Soulcast obviously don't want the police involved but are too gutless to block this person. They keep pedophilic type posts up and running but do not want police activity to interfere with the site in any way. That's not my intention. My intention is to simply rid the site of something potentially harmful to children.

  Nobody is "egging on" shekinah.  A link was provided after first anon. suggested going about it another way.  Then, sehkinah had decided to call the police.  Then, anon. provided a resource.  So what?   I personally would have provided a link to the FBI's IC3 Division (ic3.gov).  Just like you think he has the write to blog his life away, anonymous is a button that all soulcasters have the right to click and I will also click it because it's my right. 
   
  I concur, it shouldn't be a crime to shoot off at the keyboard or mouth.  But when someone is admitting to a crime, that is an entirely new ball game.   Not just a crime, but a crime against innocent children.  He is posting of a crime, that he himself (and friend) both committed and that's the crime, plain and simple.  Even if he is all talk on his blog, I would be willing to bet that he has done something.

Darling, this website doesn't just filter around America!!!! it is worldwide and not every country is as obsessed with your glorious freedom of speech as you guys seem to be.  I'm not meaning to knock it, but for god's sake, there are other issues at stake here.
   
  And if you want to get nitty gritty about your glorious freedom of speech, take a look at what happens when i (practicing freedom of speech) speak out about this pedophile and threaten to call the police.  Soulcast (who aren't into censorship btw *cough*) move the post so that it can't get onto the front pages.
