My periods come every 6 month or so or if i go on vacation i get it, but thats it and i have had it for 2 1/2 years. Is there something wrong with me? Do i need to go see a doctor? Or is it normal? And i'm not under weight and i don't exercise that much any more. So i'm not sure what to do.

girl, i'm a man and i don't know much about women's health problems, and it's a bit awkward for me to be saying this, but i think you need to go see a doctor just to know more about the condition that you have. it isn't automatically a health defect or anything to be greatly concerned about, and i know a few women who have a similar conditions. but just to be sure, please ask your parents' help and see a doctor. ok?

yes you have to go to the doctor. i have a friend who has the same symptoms and then they found out that there is fatty tissue in her ovaries and needed to be removed. because it can caused cancer. just to be sure go to the doctor and have youreself check up.

hey girl! i know i'm a little late with my reply but here goes. i had the EXACT same problem as you! i used to get mine every 6 months and when i did it was the most painful experience of my life! basically you're about the right age to go see a gyno and talk to her about your options.  i personally am now on BC only to keep it regular...mainly because later on it could prohibit you from having children or make it a lot harder.  i would recommend it...its better to be safe than sorry! =) hope that helped!!! much love,
