I know this may be irregular, and perhaps this post may be kicked off. I also realize I have not written in awhile..due to the major stress going on in my life right now. I am begging my fellow soulcasters to help my children. As many of you know, I was involved in a very abusive marriage. I got out in 2001, thank God, but the abuse continues for my children. It has gotten so bad, that it happens every time my children see my ex. I am trying to terminate visitation and gain full 24/7 custody. This battle will cost about 10 thousand us dollars, due to the experts I have to hire, my attorney fees, and the attorney that has been appointed by the judge to act in the best interest of the children. ( A guardian ad Litem). I realize this is a bad time of year, but any financial donation that could be made to help would be most appreciated, and you could be saving a child's life! LTB: My sentiments echo those of silverwhisper.I do not know where you are from, but aren't there any agencies that can help you? Many areas have free or reduced fee attorneys and other things to benefit children, especially abused children.Have you contacted your local child abuse hotline? If not, and you do not know of it, contact your local police. They will give it to you.If you are new to your area or are not familiar with the local agencies, contact the Chamber of Commerce. Usually they can point you in the right direction.Good Luck! I know that abuse (of any type) is any ugly and tragic thing. -

Hi lovethebeach, i'm so so so sorry to hear about this horror that's going on for you and your children. As a mum myself, my heart goes out to you. In Australia, luckily we have a government legal department that you can use if you do not have the funds for normal solicitors etc. I wonder if you have that where you are? you've probably thought about it already though.
Also, can you get a restraining order against your ex? In oz, this is done (i think) through the police department and doesn't cost that much i've been told. Protection of your children is so paramount and i hope that you can get whatever it is you need in order to prevent any more abuse happening to them.

Unfortunately, I make just a tiny bit too much to qualify for the reduced/free legal aid. And, even if I did, it doesn't pay for the psych exams and the guardian ad litem for the kids. If anyone knows an organization in nj, or a country wide organization in the us that would help, please let me know.
I have tried to get a restraining order, but it does not apply for the kids. Also, he's a federal law enforcement agent, so he is able to get away with a lot of this because of it. It's really a tragic story.
