It's really late but once again i cant sleep. I just went outside and saw one of the most stunning skies i've ever had the privilage to lay eyes on. If it werent for the neighborhood lights you could have seen stars for miles and miles into the sky. It was crystal clear with one or two tiny whisps of clouds and it's an absolutely stunning hue of blue i could have stared at it forever were it not so cold out. Its probably only about 30 degrees right now. We had a snow storm, actually i think sleet storm is more acurate, with a whole lot of wind and just a bit of sleet a couple days ago and tonight is the first night we've had a clear sky since. The only time i've seen a sky to compare is at my grandparents house out of state. They live on a mountain far out in the country so at night when you look at the sky it is simply breath taking. You can see stars for miles and miles and when its especially clear you can see the milkey way. Its amazing. I like going to my grandparents because everynight we get to go out and build a fire and just talk and laugh and enjoy the contrasting crisp night at our backs and the warm fire at our fronts. And when you look into the trees you can see fireflies everywhere like little stars, its like a whole new sky almost. I just went into our living room and saw our christmas tree. I've always liked the christmas holiday. Everyone gets along better and are more willing to give humanity another chance. :) I like sitting in the living room and just watching the lights on the tree blink and fade and chase eachother around and around, it's entrancing and peaceful, in a way it kind of brings you back to that childish state of mind where youre oblivious to all the evils in the world, you just feel filled with childlike innocence and wonder....... Anyways enough rambling, i must retire or i wont wake up in the morning, and since i have a full schedule from 9a.m. to 10p.m. that wouldn't be a very good thing. So i'll say goodnight and God Bless!! P.S. Since christmas is one of my favorite holidays of the year, because of the kindness and love everyone shares and because of the birth of christ, i am going to start a countdown starting today with: 24 DAYS TILL X-MAS Well its been about half an hour and i am still wide awake but instead of making a whole new post i am just adding to this one, i dont know why but i am. A poem started going through my head while i was laying here so i'm going to post it here: A stunning deep celestial blue, With millions of blazing stars, Each one a perfect fit, In the dazzling midnight sky, The moon, that massive orb, That reflects the suns great light, Hangs in perfect balance, And catches every eye, The milky way’s there too, Stretching across the sky, And all this blankets earth, In a warm and calming light. Its not much of a poem I'll probably add to it later, but for now it is what it is because now, finally, i am getting tired so i'm off to bed. Good night and God bless!!

you wrote that christmas atmosphere so wonderfully. i particularly like the way you described the nice contrast between the warm fire and your cold backs; the "fireflies everywhere like little stars, its like a whole new sky almost", and the milky way stretching across the sky.

I think its funny how when you ask people to describe christmas everyone has at least one thing different than everyone else. Thanks for the compliment.
