I went to a Christmas Lights parade in a small nearby town. It was like the Rose Bowl Parade, but with Christmas lights. It was beautiful. It was in the eveing after dark. The theme was Angels Among Us. The weather was gorgeous for this time of year. I was quite comfortable wrapped in a blanket.
One of my favorite floats looked like the inside of a bathroom. Steam was coming from the shower and a pair of angel wings were on a hook beside it. I could go on and on describing the wonderful entries. It seemed the whole community had gotten into the celebration. Even the fire engines and horses were decked in lights.
The parade was kicked off by the lighting of the courthouse square. That was also beautiful.
I'm thinking this parade may have to become a tradition for me.
Does your community do anything similar to this?

I don't know of anything like that where I live now but where I used to live there were things like that I heard of. I don't get out much with the kids though, maybe when they are a year or two older.
