Just when I think nobody else seems to be boyfriend-less, I open my eyes and they're all around me. It just seems like everyone has someone because those of us without someone choose not to advertise it. I'm 16 and I've never had a real boyfriend neither, so when I see my 9 year old sister coming home with a new boyfriend every week (or so it seems) and my 17 year old sister who always seems to be in a relationship, I feel like maybe it's something I'm doing. I guess I'm just too reserved for guys to be interested.

Thanks for the comment btw. It's not that I never socialize with my peers, it's just that talking to more marture people is my preference and older people seem more mature. You, on the other hand, seem plenty mature and I appreciate your offer to talk. I may have to take you up on that some time =D

p.s. I'm Stacey (just in case you didn't know yet.)

    Online Dating, Why Not?

So, you’re looking to meet that “special someone”. You have tried the bars, blind dates, churches, grocery stores, etc, all with little or no success. What have you got to lose by trying one, or even a few, of the many different online singles services? Absolutely nothing! As a former dating service professional, with both matchmaking and video dating services, I would encourage anyone to spend a little time on their computer and explore the possibilities available

Guide To Establishing Online Dating Relationships: Safety First

    Protect Yourself

Take care of yourself, too, by choosing appropriate dating sites. Seek and choose a reputable online dating service. How? Begin by asking around with friends, neighbors, co-workers and others you may know who have tried online dating, and see which places they recommend. In addition, search “online dating services” and keep a notebook of their URLs or website links, the fees, rules and regulation.......

How Do I Choose the Right Site For Me?

With the explosion of online dating sites has come a virtual smorgasbord of choices. There are free sites… I don’t recommend those but if money is a real concern, they are better than nothing. There are the large paid sites with many and varied features like chat, IM and even matching using profiles. There are the less expensive paid sites with few features. There are special interest sites for almost any thing you can think of…outdoor enthusiasts, couch potatoes, religious, non-religious, gays, lesbians…like I said…almost anything you can think of. So what’s a girl to do? A girl should choose the site or sites that best fit her neeeds

I never got asked out while I was in high school either, but things really changed after I graduated and got out of the high school scene. So, have patience. It won't always be like this. I think there are a lot of reasons why guys don't ask girls out. The number one reason is that they are shy too, and even if they're not shy, they're afraid of rejection. So, they only ask someone that they're pretty sure is going to accept. I was really shy in high school, too, and I think a lot of guys see shy girls as unapproachable. By the way, you are way too young to resort to internet dating. I've done it, but I am older than your mother, and the internet is just full of old people. Young people have plenty of opportunities to meet people their own age in real life.

It seems like all the guys I invest my time into have a hard time committing. For example, the situation with B recently ended. It was his decision and he didn't tell me why. He's been avoiding me like the plague. I respect that he wan...
