Seeing as how we're all supposed to take a moment during thanksgiving and reflect on the things that we're thankful for, I wanted to know what you are all thankful for.  I know that there are many of you who are not in the U.S. and don't celebrate thanksgiving, but I feel that it's important to take some time this upcoming holiday season and think about the things that you're grateful for.

For me, the list is endless, but I'll post a few now and a few more later.

I don't know if I should start with the big ones or the small ones.

I'll just go with whatever comes to my head.

I'm thankful for the fact that there's still mystery in human existence.  I'm thankful for this hot cup of coffee in my hand.  I'm thankful for this nice, unseasonably warm day(for it allows me to take my motorcycle out), which is to continue until the weekend.  My Gods, my folks, my lady, my friends, my pets, my neighbors, my enemies, to all who add color and flavor to my life, through whom I learn and define myself.

And for you, my fellow SoulCasters, though we've never met, I am eternally grateful for revelaing to me the myriad of the human condition and whom I weave this rich tapestry with.

Man...  This is starting to sound like an Oscar acceptance speech....

Okay.  Now it's your turn.  Tell me what you're thankful, or grateful for.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Grape.

I'm thankful that this old body's kept going for one more year.  I should take better care of her.

I'm thankful for the friends who have supported me through some bad times.

I'm thankful that I have everything I need, and much of what I want.  There are so many others who are not as fortunate as I am.

I am thankful that I still have both my parents.  No matter how old you get, you stilll need hugs from mom and dad.

Hi Grape, I am one of those who does not live in the US, nor celebrate thanksgiving. Nevertheless, I am thankful for the gift of life, for the trials that makes me stronger, for the rare moments that makes me laugh from the heart, for the blessings, wisdom, good job, good health, friends.

Also, I take this opportunity to thank you for subscribing, and frankly, I was a bit scared of you because of your posts, but I find your comments really funny. =)

Lioness:  Thanks for your comment.  I think it's important to think of things that makes us happy once in a while.  Stopping and smelling the flowers, so to speak...  The holidays seem as nice time as any for this.  A bit scared of me because of my posts?  Care to elaborate on that?  It was never my intentions to scare anyone here....

    Best Regards,

    Grape.

My pleasure Grape. It's funny that I blurted it out here (sorry...) Well, it was a first impression, you know, like you're a grumpy old man facing the computer..Deadly serious in whatever he's doing (most of your blogs are political), no time to laugh or smile..  =)
    I know I'm wrong..Am I?

We don't celebrate thanksgiving in indonesia, but i think we really should :)

I'm thankful for my wonderful parents, my great brothers, my best friends, close acquaintences I've met, my life, my dreams, my health, my relatives, my dearest fellow soulcasters and my boyfriend whom I abuse so much but still loves me nevertheless :) Those are the things that make me.

Last but not least, I thank God for everything, today and what it is. Amen.

Sounds more like a prayer to me :)

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING GUYS!!!

    Cheers ;)

You've made a very acute observation there lady.  To be candid, it's not that I'm so serious all the time, but it's actually that I have a certain paranoia about the permanency of the written word.  I fuss over every comment, look at it over and over, press the edit comment button several times, and yet, I still manage to make many mistakes.

I'm glad you've given me this brief chance to analyze myself.  It's yet another chance to give thanks.  :)

P.S.  I pressed the edit comment button once(so far) to post this.  :)

Come to think of it, I must have judged you way too harsh. I actually browsed on all your compositions, and what do I see, a warmhearted guy, who likes sports and loves his girl so much.(But is still serious..LOL).

Thanks for not taking my comment too seriously, I can be tactless sometimes. It's an honor to be worthy of your attention.

Amazing, how impressions on one personality differs, dear Grape, like viewing through a kaleidoscope.....I am thankful for my family, my friends, and for life“s endless possibilities. And this year I am specially thankful for the man that was Johannes Gutenberg. I hope you will indulge me Grape, if I defer from giving an answer to an eventual question regarding my last thanksgiving. cookie~

You forgot to thank all the "little people"

To doyoulikeme, I think there ARE no "little people"!

Grape, Thank you!  I'm sitting in my office now, at 12:10 on Thanksgiving, reading all these comments... BUT tomorrow, I'm going to see all six of my children in Atlanta, and we're going to have a real downhome neck-huggin' and turkey-eatin' with them and all 15 of my grandchildren, and one Great-grand, 4 weeks old!  So I'm thankful for that! Also because they've all come around to seeing and understanding my right to retire to the Philippines in Feb. or March!  That took some doing, but we worked it out!  And I'm thankful for still being here, at 75, and in good health (Well...)
So happy Thanksgiving, especially to you, and to all the others contributing here!
    Jim
