My Grandfather on my mom's side came here from Ireland, and the only job he could get was Iceman, because he was such a big guy, and that's the only kinds of jobs, available at the time;(Signs were posted that said, "Irish need not apply.") A sad day in America's history for us and everyone, but anyway.....
I dont know if he wanted to be a cop or a fireman, Mom never said, truthfully, and so many Irishmen still do; sometimes second and third generation's do. (Yes, true, the roster shows lots of nationalities, but in the 20's & 30's thereabouts.....
Anyway, Im so proud of him, and I want to tell EVERYONE!
The man only had a fourth grade education, and with it he lived, studied and became a civil engineer.
That's America!

Your just born SOMEWHERE and look like SOMETHING, generally speaking, as features are concerned.
