  I saw this on the news last night.  I was SHOCKED!  He's an actor trying to be a stand-up comic, totally different talents.  IMO, it is easier for a stand-up comic to become an actor, than it is for an actor to be the comic.  NOT funny.  Maybe Mel Gibson will reach out to him...

  I have a question, bloc.  I would like to know why it is that it's considered absolutely hilarious when a minority comic like Chappelle, Chris Rock, or Carlos Mencia does ten minutes bashing white people, saying things about how "retarded" and racist all the "crackers" are (and by the by, even this event with Kramer was precipitated by the hecklers shouting racial epithets at him), but as soon as a white person says the N word, it's a federal crime?  I'm not saying it should be ok for ANYBODY to say that word, but if any word is ok for one person to say, it should be ok for all to say, or it needs to be stricken from everybod's vocabulary.

  Um, did you watch the video?
  
  It's a complex issue and there certainly are oddities to it. The bottom line is that white people were not enslaved by black people so calling someone a cracker doesn't carry the same baggage. There certainly are people that take political correctness too far, but at the same time the context for whites is very different than that of blacks.

  Funny you should talk about who was enslaved by whom, since every race HAS indeed enslaved each other at some point in history.  You don't suppose the Egyptians were white, do you? (And on this note, Richards, a Jew, might actually hold a trump card on racial suffering over any black American, since his race has been dealing with racial malignment and abuse for millenia).  It seems that we as a nation don't hink the big picture matters, and because the African-American is the most recently mistreated race in our own country, they've had it worse than anyone else in history, and the white man was the worst oppressor.  Fact is, big picture, not only did they not have it worst, they're not even the most recent
   
  And as far as the video, the programs I saw all showed the guy mid rant, so, what the hecklers said wasn't shown.  However, I have read a few articles that did mention that what these guys said is on the video earlier. 
   
  Like I said, I don't think what he did was appropriate.  But then, neither were the actions or apparent words of the hecklers.  And to condemn him and say "Oh, those poor guys.  They didn't deserve to be treated like that."  is kinda jacked.  .Either both parties are grossly wrong, or neither is.  But in this instance, I don't think one was more wrong than the other, regardless of the history of the guys crying offense.

  If you can show me something they said to him that is equivalent to, "kick this guy out cause he's a nigger" then I may agree with you. I highly doubt that said anything nearly as offensive. The world isn't black and white in case you didn't know. They are wrong for heckling him, but that doesn't mean they are equally wrong or that it justifies what he did.

  I'm guessing that this whole Richards incident is possibly a little close to home for you.  Perhaps you have said some things in the past that you're not too proud of right now and you see a mirror situation?  Or perhaps you did something not so above board but you still see yourself as a decent guy and you think Richards deserves a break here?

  Ah, yes, the Mariana Islands. Now I remember. That is the place where American manufacturers such as Tommy Hilfiger, GAP and others basically lure immigrants with the promise of jobs only to pay them half minimum wage and keep them behind barbed wire. As I recall from another radio report I heard a while ago it is a place where women are pretty much forced into prostitution as well.
