For the last century, the human population has been governed and guided by corporations. We have depended on the information of the mainstream media, the financial security of a job in a large business, and the entertainment provided by big-name movie and music studios.
However, onset by the power of internet applications such as youtube, adsense, and blogging sites, that bond has been broken.
The human population, tired of only listening and reading, has begun to seek a more active role in life. They strongly feel that they can do a better job than the entities that control much of the media-based world they live in.
Will it work? Can bloggers prosper in their freedom and be even more successful than the mainstream media? It is a noble undertaking, indeed, to establish communities, not executives or CEOs, as sources of knowledge. Whether the masses will succeed or not is unknown, but the struggle will be an exciting one, indeed.
Successful people in today’s world cannot be mules and ride a company’s success to the top. Instead, they must be frogs and leap from trend to trend.
