You're right, JadeLondon. I was stuck with her for a while. The least I could do to help anyone.

Anyway, I went back to my parent's place last night and over dinner told me another sad story of long ago. Old people (those past 80s) like to relate historical events. When my father left China circa 1930 as a young boy, he left behind an old aunt of his father's. For a living, she used to carry on her frail shoulder 2 tubs, one to collect water to shower kids in the poor village, the other to put her towel and soap. She would walk for miles to shower kids so that she could buy herself 1 meal. (I was so, so sad....). When she knew my father and his father (my grandfather) was leaving China, she felt like dying. As she was already nearly 80 years old, my grandfather, bought her a coffin (which she kept in her tiny wooden room) and prepared for her a final resting place next to my great grandfather. Those days leading to their departure into Malaya by ship, she couldn't eat nor sleep. She just hung her head down, and sat there, quietly sobbing the days away. It was such a heart-wrenching story. Only it was real.

How could anyone do such a thing to a poor defenceless old lady? No one could help her. My grandfather was sent to Malaya as a Missionary. He had no choice but to take his 2 young children with him as there was no one else to take care of them. And they were poor themselves, depending on the British Mission. So, so sad.... life was really hard, then......

I should be thankful.... I really should.

I went home last night, feeling so sad for the little old lady .... only to find there was a water cut at home. No water. Ugh. But at least I could still brush my teeth, and have a nice solid roof over my head and tiled floor to step on. The old lady's tiny room had a dirt floor. So sad.....

But. My current problems are still PROBLEMS I had to deal with..... let's see waht's in store for me on Wed when the Bank gives me the truth......or finds a solution to my problem.
