  When I was younger, I thought women who slept around were sluts.
  I thought men who slept around were playboys- 
  In my mind, the women had committed a serious offense, the men...a far less serious one.
   
  Nowadays, I realize there are many reasons behind what people do, and I do not judge.  I would prefer if people acted with discretion, and then the rest of the world would have nothing much to say....

  Honestly if a woman is sleeping around and she's happy and respects herself that is the kind of woman I want around me.  Period.
   
  @Secret:  While I try as much as possible to judge men and women equally sex is one place where we are not the same and it isn't fair to treat us like we are.  A girl only loses her virginity once, and its obvious when that once is.  That point aside if she gets pregnant she can't walk away.  An abortion however easy it might be (I won't debate that here and now) Is still harder than the guys option of just walking away or perhaps in some situations never even knowing he made a child.  A woman takes a much bigger risk than a man when sex occurs and so really its not fair to compare them.

  Sean - I was simply saying that when i was younger, i thought,  (even though I knew it was unfair) that "playing around" for a woman had a very negative connotation, while the same activity in terms of men had an almost positive one.

  I don't judge on the right or wrong of it.  I do however think if you don't practice safe sex, you're irresponsible and foolish.  Actually I was going to say stupid, but maybe that's too harsh.  Then again, maybe not.

  sl- i never really had a strong opinion on this when i was younger..i thought 'each to their own'..,but as i got older, i found , personally it a turn-off if i met a guy who 'slept around' (mostly i found they were always willing to tell all this info to me!!)..and women i find must be un-happy in some way or other....(or way too horny!!!)
   i dont agree with 'sleeping around' but ppl do it and thats ok, it doesnt effect me..but it is very stupid not to use protection..
  sean- i find it hard to believe ppl who sleep around respect themselves..how can they jumping from one bed to the next???? i see your other point made and its a good one!

  missmimi- its great to say you dont judge-but if your totally honest with yourself....you probably find that you do..and thats normal..stupid is a great word for un protected sex!!!!
  i myself do judge but i would never go screaming at people for doing things i dont agree with...at the end of the day we are all human and we all make plenty of foolish decisions........judge away, for no doubt our neighbours judge us!!!1

  BB - they respect themselves because they don't consider sleeping around to be something disrespectful, hence there is no reason to lose respect. Some people see it as a pleasurable activity, nothing more, nothing less. And that is why it does not affect their sense of respect.
   
  I do agree women take on a greater risk, but that doesn't meant hey should be judged any differently. The risk is theirs to take - and they need to make their choices accordingly.  If sleeping around is morally wrong, it's morally wrong for all human beings.  If it is not, it is not.
   
  Now as to whether it is wrong  - well that's a personal decision. I found it doesn't work for me, but I try hard not to apply my standards on others because I've found fate has a tricky way of teaching us a lesson about being judgmental by putting us in similar situations in life where we find we suddenly understand why 'person we judged' did what they did.  I try not to tempt fate that way...

  I agree it is something pleasurable and I dont' see anything wrong with anybody, man or woman fucking everything that moves as long as they are happy with themselves a a bunch of other feel good shit.  Hell I wish more girls were sleeping around, I don't have the kind of sex life I would like.  :-P
   
  @Sweet: No,women take a greater risk therefore the moral judgements on them while similar are not the same.  What you just said is that a man who can barely pay his rent going to a Casino every week is the same as Bill Gates dropping down a million dollars.  Sure its the same million dollars but one guy is going to have to sell his house to pay his debt where as the other is going to write a check, then buy a drink and forget about it.  Different penalties, different morals.  LEast I in my opinion it is.
