What’s one thing fantastic about you?

And I don’t want to hear that you’re ‘kinda good’ at something or ‘sorta ok’ at another. I want to hear something fabulous. Something wonderful.  No modesty, no embarrassment…

Come on, you can do it…

Personality? I am a very loving person.
Physically? I have incredible lips... They are my best feature. They make it easy to be a good kisser.
  • the_infernal_optimist said on Nov 12, 2006....
I read this post and thought about quietly slipping away, sans comment...but that kinda defeats the purpose, doesn't it?

Hmm...I have long, red hair that some people find attractive, but if you're looking for more than that, I'm a good listener. :)

I don't hold grudges - i get mad, and 30 minutes later forget why.

    physically? the eyes have it.
  • scalywag said on Nov 13, 2006....
My word.  If I give you my word, you can expect me to keep it.  Trust me.

    physically?  My tongue

Good morning... Thanks for stopping by and sharing.  There is something about stating what is really great about us that makes us really uncomfortable.  It's unfortunate. It's good to be modest, but we should still be clear on our strengths - we certainly are clear on our weaknesses.

momsrock - incredible lips! love the description.
infernal optimist -i think you meant to say that you have really beautiful long red hair that drive some people wild.
SL - I kind of relate although I have to sleep first to forget...
Scaly - *ahem*... that's an awfully useful body part
Ed - have you done anything to sharpen your skills as a writer? or is it just something you seem to have been born with.  I ask only because I"m trying to work my way towards writing myself and am always interested in the process.

I've been told many times that I have a beautiful and sexy speaking voice. At least once every couple of months someone will ask me if I work in radio based on hearing me order a sandwich or some such thing.
  • silverwhisper said on Nov 13, 2006....
sweet*nothing: the only way to get better at anything is to continue doing it often.  that's in part why i blog: the mere repetition of hammering my thoughts into words against the forge of a keyboard is itself helpful.  they say that for a musician, the instrument becomes merely an extension of his/her body.  to me, it's the same w/ a keyboard.

i can type much faster than i can write by hand.  as i mentioned somewhere else, i type at around 85 WPM+, so this makes it easier for me to get my thoughts down, but no matter how fast, it's never really going to be fast enough.

creative writing is about communication, like any other form of writing.

it's all in how you visualize things.

that said, i'm an as-yet unpublished author.  take my comments for what they're worth.  who knows, i may even be doing it all wrong.  :D

...but i sincerely doubt that i am.

  • sweet*nothing said on Nov 13, 2006....
SW: I doubt it as well. It takes time. And sometimes I think getting published only a small part of being a writer.  Writing seems to be one of those strange personal things - you can be one without anyone ever knowing.

LJ - that's funny... I imagine you with exactly that kind of voice.
  • lioneljay said on Nov 13, 2006....
SN, I've no idea how you came up with that impression, but I'm impressed. By the way, I note that you have not yet answered your own question. Hint, hint!

**Sweet.....my laugh.....i like to laugh and people say i am pretty funny too...i am a trustworthy person, if i promise i deliver it...exceptional friend and excellent mom....oh, and here in Usa my accent...men think is soooo sexy and women like it as well...

Physically......my full lips, my sparkling eyes, my well appreciated butt

Hey, you said of not being falsely modest...so you have it...LOL

**Lionel.......i agree with Sweet...i was imagining you with a low, deep, sensual voice ...maybe because of the things you write......:->

  • missb said on Nov 13, 2006....
    Hmm...Can I say that I'm a fantastic actor? But I don't have proof :)

    Cheers!
  • sweet*nothing said on Nov 13, 2006....
missb - don't worry, no proof needed here. we'll take your word for it!

LJ - heheh, good point. OK... well I would say my smile (apparently since I was a baby), and my eyes (big and dark).  I would not have said this until just recently, but, and I quote, apparently I have a 'glorious butt' as well. (though most likely too small for the guys on SC who have been repeatedly talking about their appreciation for larger ones lol).  I'm a good friend too.

  • BombShell said on Nov 13, 2006....
SN - You're pulling my narcissist strings.  I am wise.  I give great advice and people always want my opinion (which is good because I have lots of them).  It's hard to always do the right thing, so half the time people don't really take my advice, but the other half of the time, they do and come back to thank me for it.

Lionel, I also imagined you with a nice voice.

Infernal, people love my long red hair too.  I knew I liked you for some reason.
  • lioneljay said on Nov 13, 2006....
SN, I have rarely encountered a butt that I did not appreciate. Size isn't what matters so much as the spirt to which it is attached.
  • Zayda said on Nov 13, 2006....
I'm extremely intuitive at making connections and a pretty decent writer.

I have great legs, a decent butt, really great eyes, and, according to a friend, beautiful cheekbones.
  • Apollo said on Nov 13, 2006....

SN: Good idea for a post. OK here I go, I dont think I can do just one:

Mentally I am powerful, very smart. And I am always willing to challenge everything, even my self. I am Articulate, observant, well versed and clever.

Physically I am big, rugged and maybe a little scary. Damn I look good. I’m just about unstoppable; it takes something really bad to incapacitate me. In fact that has never even happened.

  • silverwhisper said on Nov 13, 2006....
according to my wife, i have a fine butt.  :>  and i gotta say, i have good calves.  :D

I seem to be able to make people laugh.  And I think I am a good friend.

Physically?  My eyes.  I have dark hair and an olive complexion, so you might think I'd have brown eyes, but my eyes are very blue and I have long eyelashes.

  • sweet*nothing said on Nov 13, 2006....
    I think it's clear - we're rock stars!

Apollo - unstoppable, huh? lol wow.

LJ - that's a great way to look at it. I think next time I"m being self critical over a body part I'm going to remind myself about what a great spirit that body part is attached to! hehe

Ed - do go on! ;)

Zayda - I've always wanted great legs. My legs are really long and the way I see it, having great legs would mean at least half my body would be really great. Are you just born with them or are there exercises etc you can recommend?
  • CreativeWoman said on Nov 13, 2006....
I remain calm in a crisis.  I am there when people need me.  I am this unassuming force in the background that only comes to the forefront when strength is needed. I'm intelligent and I'm proud of the fact that I'm a published writer.

Physically, it is my lips.  They are plump and full.  I always wear dark pink or red lipstick.  Several men have told me I look kissable, but only a handful have had that pleasure.

Well, I haven't really dwell on these sort of things but here goes.......

I have an infectious laughter. Great butt. And long legs.

I am also quite proud of my good skin, I got it from my chinese ancestors.

    I'm a loyal friend.

Now one thing I am proud of, and confuses some, is I am hard to anger and I am like an umbrella, it all just rolls off.

    Red hair is fracking gorgeous!

    [sigh]

i have a thing about great looking butts.   and legs.   and lips.   and eyes.  and hair.

    [sigh]

say, if I post a picture of my tongue, will you .........
  • BlogObsessed said on Nov 13, 2006....
I was going to skip this - being possitive about myself is tough - I'm know for my self deprecating sense of humor.  OK - here goes - I have a dark sense of humor - sometimes appreciated, sometimes not.  I am loyal to a fault - to both friends and lovers.  I am quick witted and smart (sounds pompous!).  Physically - this is tough....I've been told I'm pretty by unreliable sources.  I have a great smile and laugh and a cute (can't believe I used that word!) petite figure.  Wow that was hard!
  • MissMimi said on Nov 13, 2006....
LJ--you do have a nice voice.  Although, "nice" is a pretty tame word for what I thought when I heard it.

Waggie, you like to lick eyes??  Hmmm, I wonder about you... ;)
  • scalywag said on Nov 14, 2006....

  • sweet*nothing said on Nov 14, 2006....
BlogObsessed - that was obviously hard for you but I'm glad you didn't skip this post.  Like I commented earlier, we're always so loud and clear about our faults, and short change ourselves on thoughts or compliments over our assets.  THis is a safe anonymous environment where we can practice saying positive things 'out loud'...

I have soft clear skin, and am good at influencing people (in good ways - like in generating enthusiasm).  Skin and influencing unrelated, though not always ;)

Physically: Apparently I have lovely hands!!!!
  • lioneljay said on Nov 14, 2006....
The fact that so many people commented that they thought I'd have a good voice despite no evidence one way or the other intrigued me.

Enough, in fact, that I put up a place where you can tell for yourselves.
