A teenage student had become the first person here to be charged with piggybacking on someone else's wireless internet connection.
If convicted, he faces up to 3 years in jail and fines of up to S$10,000 under Section 6(1)(a) of the Computer Misuse Act.
Wardriving or Wi-Fi mooching - virtual equivalent of trespassing, is punishable by law here.
What about the situation in your home country? Anyone care to comment?
