    to quote Margaret Cho...I'm not gay, I'm not straight, I'm just slutty....Where's my parade???

    I read this and adopted it as one of my signatures. I like it for a variety of reasons. Personally I dislike labels regarding sexuality. I'm a sexual being...period. In addition the 'where's my parade?' adds a bit of fun and I think sex should be fun...a celebration. Yes it can be serious etc. but not always.

    I just liked ti.

    That's one of my favorite quotes, and the one that immediately comes to mind.  I also like this quote from Hallmark's Maxine character:  "Life is too short to dance with ugly men."  :)

    This has been one of my favorite quotes for some time:

    "Fable is more important than fact because fact tells us about one man and fable tells us about a million men."   ~~G.K. Chesterson

    I suppose it has been one of my favorites because I have always been an avid reader of mythology and fables as well as novels and religious documents.  So, the quote speaks to me and my love of reading.

    Some for you today Zayda-

    Give all to love; obey thy heart (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

    Whatever is begun in anger ends in shame (Ben Franklin)

    This above all; to thine own self be true (William Shakespear)

    Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired (Robert Frost)

    Happiness depends upon ourselves (Aristotle)

    To everything there is a season, and
    a time to every purpose under the heavens:

    A time to be born, and a time to die;
    a time to plant, and a time to pluck
    up that which is planted;

    A time to kill, and a time to heal;
    a time to break down, and a
    time to build up;

    A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
    a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

    A time to cast away stones, and a
    time to gather stones together;
    a time to embrace, and a time to
    refrain from embracing;

    A time to get, and a time to lose;
    a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

    A time to rend, and a time to sew;
    a time to keep silence,
    and a time to speak;

    A time to love, and a time to hate;
    a time of war, and a time of peace.

    One of mine's from Mae West:

    Good sex is like good Bridge:  If you don't have a good partner, you'd better have a good hand.

    From the ridiculous to the sublime...

    My favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 13:1-7

    If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don't have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.

    If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don't have love, I am nothing.

    If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don't have love, it profits me nothing.

    Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud,

    doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil;

    doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

    bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
