Hello all!

Have been a reader here for some time now, but never joined up...until now.  So HI!

Just wondered if anyone else has been using Qobble, and if they've been doing ok on it?

Seems to be working ok, I've started a few different sites on it, a couple of blog networks, a rating site and a chat site.  Seems the rating sites get loads of traffic.  I guess because people like to sit there rating one picture after the next.  However, I still think the blog networks will do better financially, as people read content and the ads better match them and probably get a better click through rate.

So far so good.  Been chatting to a mate of mine, who started a site on there, but isn't impressed yet, but that's probably because he hasn't posted any content.  I think it could work as long as you put some effort in.

Let me know if any of you have sites there and if they're doing ok?  Would be good to compare.

Cheers,
TC

All good!  When will users be able to add more detail to their profiles?  I think this will help immensley.

qobmiester: I don have any sites there, but I am wondering how long it took you to earn $34.00?

    Hi Frlncwtr,

Just over 3 weeks so far.  Not too bad I think, should start growing exponentially almost, once some more people start using my sites a bit more.  Just need to keep submitting my links accross the web, writing articles and mingling with similar communities.

Inbound links are the key I think ;)

qob - we're currently working on updating the user profiles pages, soon they'll be better than myspace and the other big-boys hehee!  *evil laugh*

Sorry, I'm going to have to call you out on this and say that's highly improbable.

A quick look at alexa shows that qobble has no traffic, which means no money.

Can you explain or show some hard facts to back up your claim?

After reading your post I signed up on Qobble. We'll see how it goes.

    exponential growth is highly unlikely!

Qobble is still in beta and being developed.  When we finally launch we will be investing in multiple traffic generating avenues to get the site moving.

Despite this, Qobble had shot to within the top 35,000 sites on Technorati (out of 55 million!), within the first two months it's been accessible on the web.  Faster than the growth of most websites.

We have a background of over 14 years web development, which includes a number of successful websites.

We are confident that when the time comes(hopeflly within the next month or so, we don't want to launch too early), that it will go with a bang.

Keep in touch, and we'll let you know when any exciting news comes along.

    Thanks for tuning in! ;)

Qobble is confusing me. Last week I signed up, added my google adsense number, and posted a blog under the user name 'Teaparty'. Now I go back, and there is no sign off it. Nor is the google adsnse number there anymore. I'll poke around some more, but I'm getting pretty discouraged.
I registered again, but now if I open a page and want to comment it says 'you must register or log in to comment.' I get that after I've already logged in with my email address and password. But if I try to log in with my member name 'teaparty' it says there is no such account.

    Hi Purple,

Have just checked for you, and you are registered to the http://gettingstarted.qobble.com site.

A common misconception is that Qobble is a single blogging site.  It isn't.  I've tried to explain this on the homepage, but perhaps I haven't explained it well enough.  Will try and clarify it further.

Qobble is simply a tool for making 'blogging networks'.  SoulCast for example is a blogging network, as is the Getting Started site you joined.

Joining one of these sites, doesn't sign you up to all other qobble powered sites.

Each qobble powered site is essentially aimed at a different niche audience, therefore different people will join up different sites, and it makes no sense to allow everyone to join every site as it would defeat it's primary purpose.  Which is to allow users to creat their own niche blogging networks.

You also signed up as a Qobble site manager and created the site 'confused', which is now in essence your own 'blog network' which you can customise and tell your friends about.  Being a site manager, doesn't automatically make you a member of that site, so you have to join your own site if you wish to post blogs on it.  Otherwise, you can just let other people post blogs on it, and as long as your Adsense ID is in your site manager profile, you will earn clicks on ads displayed on your own site.

Hope this clarifies it all a little.

    All the best!

Wow qobmiester! In some spans of 3 weeks here, I've made less than $1.00. Isn't that a joke!
