Wake up, America. Gayness is a lifestyle. Why would gayness be right if you can't procreate through gay sex? Why the hell would we as humans be created to procreate and then have gay sex? Because it doesn't make sense. Heterosexual sex is what we were created to have. How can Lesbians have real sex? With a surrogate dildo? How can this be the way humans were meant to be? To stick random synthetic objects up their orifices? Gayness is a perversion, a lifestyle. And why do gays act like women? Why are their voices like that and why do they shave their manly bodies to be more like women? Men and women were created differently for a reason, to remain different, not to be androgynous.

Gayness is a lifestyle. How else do you explain my friend who was "born straight" then became gay in college, and is now bisexual. I mean, WTF? You don't just go bouncing around orientations. I think it's a choice.

I learned that gays are chemically imbalanced in the head... like people who are prone to be depressed, addicted, or obese.

yikes... so much to say. First, it seems a bit arrogant of you to assume that you know why we were created. Being gay or straight is not a right, it's an identity. However, I believe being treated as a human being IS a right - regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, physical handicap, mental capacity, etc.... Life is about more than sex or procreation. Are individuals who choose to be celibate any less of a person than you or I? Is someone who cannot procreate because of mental or physical disability not worthy of life? The "gay lifestyle" that you speak of is no more than a generalization of who gay people are and what they do. It's a set of prejudices that you've blindly clung to instead of making judgments based on your own experiences. Gay people flawed, but no more so than straight people. In regards to the comments - sexual orientation isn't always black and white. Some people have a harder time figuring out who they are. To add difficulty, individuals have to negotiate the label that they choose to identify with and the repercussions of that choice. There are plenty of people who are attracted to the same sex, but claim to be heterosexual simply because they don't want to be treated the way society treats gay people. And then the comment about being imbalanced in the head - you're right. But you're missing a piece of the puzzle. Gays aren't prone to depression, addiction, and obesity simply because they're gay - society treats them like crap, and any community that experiences hate, prejudice, verbal and physical assault, rejection from family and faith, etc... would experience the same.

If we have free will then everything is a lifestyle choice - nothing comes naturally. We weren't created for anything, we just are - now that we're here, we can do whatever we want. Atoms bumping together, that's all we are. From that point of view, there is no gender, no nurture or choice or lifestyles or anything, just nature, just the laws of physics.

Sorry, makes no difference to me whether we were designed (by the big G or "earth mother" or whatever) or evolved... "Tab A is designed to fit into Slot B"!!!! homosexuality isn't necessary to the survival of the species. I don't judge people who are homosexual as being "sinners" or "sickos" - they are there, that's all. How the hell they get so much press time I don't know - it's the audience's/readers'/viewers' sick fascination that keeps the topic up front. Like a rabid terrier, homophobes just won't let it drop, just gotta keep shakin' the issue. Get over it fer Pete's sake. (By th' way, who the heck is Pete anyway!?) Whether the big G or Darwin - we got here the same way all mammals did. And I've said it somewhere else, - the only animals who exhibit homosexual activity (and ain't it funny that so many homosexuals are exhibitionists?) are those groups or colonies which are stressed by over crowding and under resourced. For goodness sakes, if Sex is all you've got to think about - get a life!

And I'm quite sure all the animals that seek out same sex relationships also choose to be homosexual?
  • Tappa said on Jun 08, 2006....
"All" the animals... HHhmmm, lessee, I've heard of it in rats, and one monkey colony and one ape colony. I guess your point is that as the animals "can't help it", then the humans can't help it either. So,... have the people who "can't help it" somehow lost the cognitive and moral thinking that separates or differentiates humankind from animals in general? ("Come on back, you hear?")

8% of Dolphins seek out same sex relationships as well. And how is homosexuality immoral?

Masturbation doesn't lead to procreation but I doubt that that stops the wanker who wrote this post.

lesbian sex is the fucking best thing ever (to me, anyway). besides, if sex were only for procreation than i guess that means mr. meanie ONLY has super conservative missionary boy-girl sex for the means of procreation, right? never just for pleasure? i suppose that is why sex feels so good...to force us to procreate...cuz we need incentive to continue humanity... that bit after "mr.meanie" was sarcasm. also, some gay ppl act like a stereotype of the opposite gender because they want to rebel against cultural norms that hurt them a lot. lemme break it down to you, western culture is: boy: strong, muscle, angry, sports, beer, like women, don't cry, like sex girl: shopping, need man, shallow and passive, like man, weak, pretty i am not saying that all people are like this, but this is the crap this is shoved down people's throat, and the main way that it is "practiced" or "manifested" in is our relationships with others. when i was 15 and knew i was gay, i was so fucking pissed off about this that i started to dress like a guy to rebel against ppl assuming i m some ditzy girl, who was not only passive (assumed of all women) but, that i liked men too. i myself do not find the rebellion technique affective, and stopped that a lot time ago. now i just wear and act however i want and try to not categorize them as "gay/str8" or "masculine/feminine". sometimes i have a sporty look, sometimes funky, sometimes girly, sometimes messy. hell, sometimes just plain dorky. but its me and altho i m gay and a girl i dont think "hhhhmmmmmm, wut does a gay girl wear today?", i think "what do I want to wear today?" i think mr. meanie himself is gay or insecure about his maniless in some way. tsk tsk.

This is ludicrous! My very best friend's parents are gay! They are absoulutely normal in every way, except they are gay. They have a pool, friends ( including straight men, gay men, and straight women. No lesbian women, there aren't any in our community), and an adorable labrador dog. One of their sons is gay (15), one of them is straight (21), and their daughter is straight (12). They indulge in no sexual activity with anyone except with eachother, and they have never flirted with anyone but eachother (Only mildly in front of us, I don't know about in the bedroom, obviously.) and they love their children. Just because the Bible says it is wrong, it doesn't mean it is true. Those are YOUR beliefs, and I respect that. However, it is not your place to decide. It is their place to do so. My motto is "Live and let live". Them being gay does not negatively affect me at all, nor anyone else. It doesn't hurt you for them to be gay. ~A caring neighbor

I'll be honest. I didn't see this coming. I didn't expect Obama to do anything directly supporting the gay community. I had assumed that it was just lip service...
