Damn! Is that what I just heard???? I'm watching this little documentary about racism in Brazil.
What is the problem with being black? who the hell is responsible of that stigmatization of black people?
I am educated, I'm ambitious, I speak fluently french & I'm not bad at english, I am tactful, polite & quite serious. But I AM BLACK! worst, I am African. I really don't get it! Why when you are black you have 50% less chances to get everything? I've got the answer today. Black people are poor, ignorant & lazy. Well, I'm not, my parents are not, my friends are not either. So what are you talking about??? Don't you see white poor, lazy & ignorant people??? Don't tell me I am dirty! You are the one not taking at least 2 showers a day! No! taking 2 showers per month is not ok!!!! I hear the white furious people coming to say it's not true. Yeah yeah yeah! I'm generalizing? So do you!
I really need someone to seriously answer my question. Racist people are more than welcome to answer! No you won't get an infection! please answer. Why the hell are you racist?

Absatou...perhaps you haven't heard of Michael Jordan, tiger Woods, or Ophrah Winfrey? ...they're black, they're intelligent, they're hardworking, and they're rich.

Then there's Charles Barkley, George Washington Carver, Rey Charles, Aritha Franklin, etc.

I see there's hate in your heart,
perhaps you need to switch role models.

First off, I am a light brownish, redish color you would call
white. I have mostly Irish and English relatives and one
American Indian back there somewhere. I am typical
American Heinz 57. People that look like me can be from
England, Ireland (those people got their share of racism
when coming to America), Germany, Russia, etc. Just
about anywhere in Europe. I could even pass for a
person from the Mediterranean area, Isreal, many places
in the world, if I tried. The point is: when you look at
me it is hard to determine my origin. Most people would
not figure me for mostly Irish. However, if you are black,
it is pretty easy to determine your origin. You probably
came from Africa, or at least have relatives there. Now
    we are getting somewhere.

It is somewhat difficult for the perfect people to lump me
in with all the loud, drunken, lazy Irish people they have
ever run across. But you, on the other hand, can easily
be grouped with any black person that the perfect people
have ever seen do something wrong. You may possibly be
    a car thief, a rapist, a murderer, or maybe a ... rapper!!!

I wonder why you feel so special. Asians (anyone from
China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia), Mexicans
(anyone from south of the USA), and Arabs (anyone from
the Middle East, Egypt, India, or Pakistan) have the
    same problems every day.

Someday we will see past the physical prejudices and
judge people on an individual basis. Probably when we no
longer have physical bodies or evil human natures. But,
more likely, when we all work for big corporations that
will fire you for politically incorrect behavior.

Ormocanon, I'm not hateful at all. I'm trying to understand something. Didn't you know all these famous people you named are called "sell-out". I have so much respect for Oprah, Condolezza Rice & Tiger Woods. But it seems black people are the first one to spit on these people who've achieved so much. I've never been to the US, but I've been posting on a board composed mainly by african-american women.
They prefere a truly ignorant rapper or a video girl to a respectable black personality. Isn't it one of the reasons why we are still despised? No matter what, we are despised. Whether we are rich, famous, intelligent, we will always meet people who pretend not to be racist or people totally racist. I'm wondering about black people, because I notice that in Brazil, black people are despised, in France Guadeloupean are not really French, not talking about the US. It's not the same when people openly show hatred toward immigrants. I'd rather hear "I don't like those immigrants" than "I don't like african american or west indians"
when will people understand skin doesn't determine personality?

Exactly. But prejudice is on both sides of the fence. I see
black people walking in my neighborhood all the time with
no cares for their safety. However, there are all black
neighborhoods that I would not be safe walking around in
other parts of this big city. I know I would be challenged
before going two blocks. I could be wrong, but I will not
stake my life on that experiment. I keep thinking prejudice
will just fade away as older generations fade away, but
it keeps popping up. All we can do is try not to be part
    of the problem.

well, if you go back, idk, about 350 years ago, there was a little thing slavery and after 350, the white, not saying all white, but the white still have the same prejudice and its stupid that we have waited this long, and we still have them.
and some people think it doesnt exist or it disappeared.
and theres another little thing called white supremacy, where the white man is superior to the african american
the bible never said, God created the white man to worship Him, and He created the black man to serve the white man.
    God created us all equal.

I'm from New Orleans and my city has mostly black people in it. I went to school with black people and I work with them. I am not racist in anyway sure sometimes I can be a little stereo typical I'm sure everyone does that. And if you say you dont that is a lie I'm sorry. I remember back in middle school there was this girl she was a lot bigger then me and I would try and stay out of her way she was very mean and always call me white trash and i never did anything to this girl until one day she pushed me and i had enough i hit her the look in her eyes il never forget but for some reason she didnt do anything back to me its almost like i earned some kind of respect from her that she didnt think i had in me and now shes one of my best friends. We often talk about these racial issues that get brought up we dont agree on everything but we do agree on one thing its both ways. Like say there was a murder that was commited and it was a black male most white people would say thats it always black people that does these things then black people would say something about white serial killers or whatever I think that black people have extremely hard lives and I can relate trust me but its all in the person you grow up to be.. I know how hard it is to get yourself out a hole that you feel is nearly impossible to climb out. The place you grow up is your decision if your want to die there or not. I hope one day people will have the same thoughts I do on black people vs white people. I ignore all the racial stuff and I know that its sad people on the inside that always has to blame someone else.. One day we will get past all this and hopefully learn to all get along!! Change is coming!!

It is harder to share pain than it is joy. Sometime with the help of friends and family, we endure our pains. But sometimes we have to stand alone. But if you maintain a postive outlook and endure cheerfully, we will find more company along the way....
