Kiss you while their screwing you.

To me (so nobody get their nickers in a twist) it seems like Democratic candidates are more inclined to whisper sweet nothings in our ears, pretending they care, just to romance votes out of us, whereas Republicans will just screw you and get it over with. You know, sort of like when someone pretends to like you until they get in your pants, then you see them will their real lover (corporations), and then you're heartbroken. Republican candidates make straight up "booty calls." They make it pretty clear up front, "I'm here to screw you, so drop your pants." Then it's "WHAM BAM" and don't even say "thank you." Either way, you've been screwed.

All jokes aside, much of what happens to us as a nation has more to do with our collective consciousness than it does any certain party. We have to make up in our minds that we are going to prosper as individuals (who make up a nation) no matter who winds up on the throne. We are all living the lives that we believe we can live. If William Hung can get a record deal, then any of us can do anything to which we set our minds.

See, this is why I don't favor partisan politics. People's personal opinions get lumped into one side or the other. This political dichotomy is used when one side tries to undermine the other. It gets in the way of relevant and pressing issues because you're either on one side or the other, as opposed to having an opinion of your own.
