As I wrote sometime back about my anxiety disorder, I am always searching for new and different methods to at least help, if not eliminate, the horrible symptoms. I came across a new concept called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).

Finally some fast relief for anxiety/panic disorder, and all it cost is a little time to read and learn the technique.

EFT involves tapping certain acupressure meridians, in a certain order. You also recite affirmations while tapping. The technique uses the same concepts as acupressure (like acupuncture, but without the needles). It might look crazy, but many people, including myself, are getting relief from anxiety/panic disorder by using this method. I have suffered with severe GAD (general panic disorder) with agoraphobia for over two years. While some other treatments have helped, the EFT seems to give the fastest results. Once you learn this simple technique, you can do it anywhere, anytime.

There’s lots of info on EFT. There are books/CDs you can buy, but there is also info online, even an EFT Manual, by Dr. Gary Craig, that you can download for FREE at www.emofree.com. Also check out www.eclecticenergies.com and www.eftzone.com.

If you prefer books, I spent the better part of a day researching many of the books out there on EFT. Some of them are “The Promise of Energy Psychology” by David Feinstein; “Energy Tapping” by Fred Gallo, “The Tapping Cure” by Robert Temes, “Acupressure for Emotional Healing” by Michael Gach, “Instant Emotional Healing” by George Pratt, and “Getting Thru to your Emotions with EFT” by Phillip Mountrose. All of these were available on Amazon. Amazon has a wonderful feature called “Search Inside,” which allows you to read the first few pages of a book (if authorized by the publisher). Most of the books I’ve listed here have the “Search Inside” feature activated.

Mudras (hand yoga positions) are also helpful for all types of issues. There are several sites that explain how madras are used, and show the simple hand positions. A couple of sites are: www.eclecticenergies.com/mudras, www.signlanguageofthesoul.com, and www.mudrasforhealing.com. Two books I researched, “Mudras” by Gertrude Hirschi, and “Healing Mudras” by Sabrina Mesko, both had very good reviews
