Hi Carol, it's just me, your friendly *cough* next door neighbour.
I was just wondering when you were going to get around to painting my side of the fence?
It's just that I noticed that you've done your side and the thing is.......if you don't do mine, then it's just going to get wet and rot, see? Makes sense to me.
After all I wouldn't want to see all your hard work go to waste, I mean you and Tim spent so long that hot summers day putting it up. I know I could have offered to help you but, I'll be damned if I can get off that hammock once I get on it. Besides, you seemed to be making a big enough 'balls up' of it between you without my help.
Anyway I hadn't had that much entertainment for.........oh, a long time.
It was like watching an episode of Laurel and Hardy *pmsl*
Sorry, but if you could have seen yourselves from my viewpoint, I'm sure you would have been laughing too. Well ok then, maybe not.
I know you think I should have probably paid half the cost as well, but the way I see it is.......I don't have dogs. And that makes all the difference, because if I did, then I would have felt a responsibility as a good neighbour, to make sure that they were enclosed and didn't go into your garden, turfing (pardon the pun) the lawn up.
Oh, I can hear you now saying it's 'grass', but we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. That's just one of those little differences between us, there's cultured and there's........erm.....you.
Besides, with the cost of paying a gardener every two weeks, I couldn't have managed it, I'm sure with all of your income support and child benefits, it won't have been too much of a hardship though eh?.
Can you make sure you get Woodforest Green? I just don't want it to clash with the rest of the fencing, that's all. It's all about co-ordination.
I've heard there's a sale on at Homebase right now. There, see how helpful I can be?
Oh! and they don't close until 9, so no hurry. *Smile*
