How do you feel when you read an article with a persons picture which actually was an advertisement out of desperation, begging for a kidney?

When I read the article with picture, I felt a sense of helplessness and a deep void in humanity. The victim of kidney failure described the requirements necessary for a well-matched donor such as blood type O and non smoker.

Would you donate a kidney to someone if it wouldn't harm you and if you knew it would save someones life? Who would it have to be? If so, what are your boundaries? If not, why wouldn't you?
