I saw about half of the Matt Lauer's Dateline interview of Britney Spears; I was catching it in between commercials of So You Think You Can Dance...good show! Anyway, I was never a Britney fan, but I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. She's human, she's young, she's not a villian for goodness' sakes! But that interview tonight was horrible. She looked like she's given up on taking care of herself, in that the way she appeared was atrocious. Chewing gum in an interview? That's disrespectful. Her outfit was also not flattering. And her make up artist needs to be fired, because one fake eyelash was on the verge of jumping, and her skin was pale...well, maybe it was poor lighting. Personal appearance aside, I found her responses to be ingenuine, untruthful, and the only answer I actually believed was when she was saying that she'd like to have privacy from the tabloid junket. I'm more inclined to believe the troubled marriage and bad mother gossip that's going around. Britney needs to get people around her to help out, because this can only get worse.

Also forgot to add that when she answering questions about her marriage or Kevin Federline, she kept looking away. Bad sign! Poor girl. And her responses to driving with her son in her lap..."it's just country". No lady, it's unsafe. Hope she learns quick about common sense and motherhood. -

There was a time when Britney would do anything possible to keep the spotlight on her. Much of it might have been from producers, and she was probably too young/immature to know when to demand more privacy or less exposure for herself, but she's made her bed, and she's laying in it. All that attention and fame has brought her money at the cost of personal privacy. She said she believes in karma, she used to practice kabbalah, and all this other stuff. None of that seems to be helping. In the end, she's only 24 (my age) but looks like she's almost 40. She might look worse each day, but she's probably taking the opportunity to be a normal person - taking it to the other extreme. She's prolly bitter at being sexed up for years to meet the demands of everyone else, so going the opposite way and letting it all hang out is the other end of the spectrum. Give her time to veg and she'll be ok in a few years. In the meantime, right or wrong about her life, those tabloids are pretty harse.
