It's funny getting criticism from random people that don't know me and write hate comments. Normally, I get really defensive and hurt, but this is refreshing. I don't have to keep it such a secret anymore.
Let's play devil's advocate...
Should every older gentleman that dates younger women, perhaps just a few years older than "legal" age, be labeled as a pedophile? ie. Jerry Seinfeld and the Olsen twins come to mind.
Now you people are so quick to judge and that's fine, but that's not going to change how I live. In my eyes, the laws are black and white and that line is drawn at 18. At age 18, whether you are mentally mature or not, you are given legal freedom to make decisions that can have serious consequences on your life, whether it being smoking, dying for your country, or having sex with whomever you want.
Now I'm off to test this new software I heard about that automatically lets you add new friends 24/7!

Once you turn 18, you're free as a bird. And if you're on MySpace, you should be using common sense. I wish people would just deal with the fact that they have the right to choose at 18. Age is nothing but a number...after 18 I agree---My husband is 10 years younger and we are a perfect match. HE IS 13 YRS YOUNGER than my ex husband and has twice as much my ex ever did...so I say GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its nobodys business anyways. -

Thanks so much for your comment, sharky--it's really great advice and I definitely think I'll follow it :-) What's annoying, though, is that I already told him from the beginning that I didn't want a relationship, but I think I fell in to a trap--by spending most of my time with him and stupidly agreeing to go out with his family and him, I led him to believe that perhaps I was changing my mind.
