Well, what a fun, frustrating way to spend 30 minutes or so.
The phone conversation is short:
Do you have any flu shots available?
No ma'am, we're out.
Will you be getting any in?
We might. You'll just have to keep checking back.
<sigh> Thank you anyway.
Not a flu shot to be had anywhere. My doctor's office is even out. I'm talking about the seasonal flu shot, nevermind the H1N1 vaccine.
Just one more thing to be concerned about. Time to get out the masks and the hand sanitizer.

That is soooo bad! I mean, each practice and pharmacy knows how many jabs they do/dispence each year so fancy not having the right amount this time round! I'm lucky as the Health Trust I work for gives them to every member of staff. Being frontline workers, all public sector staff, especially those who work with vulnerable people, get the shots as these sectors take priority. Hope you get your jab soon hun - don't want you sneezing all over Theo lol! -

I'd think with your health conditions that they would have ordered a vaccine and would have been given priority for it. Don't know what to say. Someone really F'ed up the production this year. -

Yeah it seems everybody is really wanting the shots more and more and suppliers aren't making sure to have enough to meet the demand. Although, I can tell you, I've not added to the decrease in supply, I just stick to washing my hands, sanitizer and all that good stuff. -

it's this way because all the co's that usually produce the seasonal flu shot have switched over to produce the h1n1 flu shot. h1n1 has taken priority. i went and got my seasonal shot like the 1st day Walgreen's had it and i got my h1n1 shot day 1 in the free clinics. keep checking everywhere for your seasonal. good luck
