so.... i sent the boyfriend a letter.... i was mailing him something else that was necessary and decided to dash off a few romantic heartfelt lines to stick in the envelope along with the important stuff.

he just told me that he got the letter earlier today...and that he was going to read it before he went to sleep.

now....i am not the type of person that can fathom doing this.....if i got a letter from him i would tear into it right there at the mail box

and knowing what i know of him..... he doesn't have the slightest patient bone in his whole body.

anyway....

what kind of letter reader are you?

do you care if you get a letter? is it no big deal?

do you tear it open right there or even right as soon as you walk in the door with the mail?

or do you savor it and wait until the perfect moment?

Well, I think it depends on what kind of a day I'm having, what I'm doing that day, and who it's from.  If I'm having a crappy day, I'll read it right away just to get a boost, and it works nearly all of the time.  If I'm having a decent day, then I might wait a bit, if nothing else than to enjoy those tingly, happy, excited feelings of knowing I have a letter, but not what's in it.  However, if I know I have a lot to do and might not be able to get to it at the appointed time that I intially wanted to, I'll just read it right away so I don't drive myself bonkers.  If it's from someone really special, I save it for a moment when I can be alone, or when I can really take the time to read it and appreciate it and, if necessary, respond back or make a call.

I rarely get actual letters, so I savour them, smell the envelope, feel it, and torture myself with it until I get home and then I devour it.

Oh, Fallyn....some people will never appreciate the magic of receiving and reading a letter........less than less the trance of writing one...

My ex husband used to do the same....i would write him long, elaborate letters and he would even wait until the next day before reading them.....it would drive me nuts....

When i open my mailbox and i see a letter it feels like Xmas in July.....i have to open it right there in front of the mailbox...can't even stand to walk those few steps to home...:-)

Then ...after reading it ...and re-reading it and re-reading it again...religiously, i fold it and put back in her envelope..

I still have stacks of letters from different lovers and friends ...all neatly organized in a big wooden box....i never throw away a letter..

i love letters... there's something about it and i like that people will make an effort of sending it to you instead of just emailing it...

In my blog, I wrote about a good on paper guy. I like his personality and he is a nice guy, but like I said the chemistry is not there....
I went to this chat line about 2 or 3 weeks ago. On there, I met this guy and we started talking on the phone. We met each other and I like hanging out with him. He's a nice guy. He has a decent job, a great personality, and very respectable, but I don't...
