  Oh CW!  I'm so sorry to hear about her passing.  I know you've mentioned her in your blogs but had no idea she was ill.  {{{hugs}}}  I'm sure she'll rest peacefully under the tulip tree.

  There are three other dogs here that love me too.  Pokey was their mother.  Maybe in the spring we'll get a new puppy.  No definite plans.

    I'm sorry CreativeWoman, I know how you feel. It will take time but you'll be ok, he's in a better place now and he'll patiently be waiting for you.  I bury all my pets to, it's never easy and brings on many tears :o( .    Hell, I buried my dog Pee-Wee a beautiful black chihuahua years and years ago. He lived to be about eighteen, he used to help me take my socks off :o) . I kid you not, I went out in the middle of the night and buried him on the grounds of a popular golf coarse. Still, even to this day whenever I know somebody is going to play golf there I ask them to say a little prayer for Pee-Wee when you play the ninth hole.

  So sorry to hear this.  I've lost a couple of special pets before and I know exactly how it feels.  I know you'll keep the memories alive of your days with your Pokey, and that's the best thing you can do.  I didn't remember this particular pet from your blogs, but no matter.  Maybe you will feel like posting some remembered stories later on down the line.

  Oh, CDub...  This touches my heart -- I'm so sorry for your loss.  Losing a canine or feline family member is just so heart breaking.  I think burying her near your niece's tree is a very fitting gesture.

  Oh hun, I'm so sorry to read of this.  Our furry little family members are such a joy to us aren't they?  12 wonderful years you loved her and she loved you and those memories will come with smiles instead of tears with time.  I know how much it hurts.  I'm sending you lots of love and hugs and a big tickle behind the ear for Pokey too.

  Thank you.  I know she loved it here.  She never left the place even though she could have.  Beneath the window of whatever room I was in was where she liked to be whenever she wasn't out working the cows with my husband.

  Dear Woman,  yes, my heart goes out to you. Only a dog lover knows what you are going through. We lost our Dobergirl a about 20 months ago... after 131/2 years! She was so close. I would take her for walks and didn't have even a collar on her. I still miss her... and feel deeply for you.
     Maybe we will all meet one day.... in dog heaven....
