  My dad used to listen to this song after we would anchor our sailing boat in some peaceful bay after a long day in the open sea...

  Some of us would be busy in folding spinnakers and sails and others would fix some quick but satisfying dinner ...

  He then would seat close to the cabin entrance ...smoking a cigarette and listening to his favorite music, and this song was always on....

  I can't listen to it without thinking of him and those beautiful summer evenings.....

You asked me to leave one of your post's in a heated way, I damn nearly pissed my pants for I meant you no harm. Am I know longer eligible to sling shit you're way or should I continue to watch you from a distance ?  You're always welcome into my life either way.

  gingersoul :  I've yet to cruise across the oceans aboard a sailing ship. Trust me, it hurts to admit to it, I've always wanted to. My father hated sailboats and he never let me forget. It didn't work, I would love to sail across the sea and one day I will. Hopefully Christopher Cross will be amongst my crew ?

    I know Christopher Cross, he's been by my crib more then once and he knows he's always welcome to come back. My wife think's the world of him. Yet I do agree he does reach those highs that could run off a Norway rat in heat :o) that's pretty bad let me tell ya. I wonder, have you ever heard him go wild on an electric guitar ? The man has talent with or without the vocals.

    Great song, it's the beautiful, happy memories that we all treasure and appreciate, besides they're tax free,  at least they were up till this point but you never know what tomorrow may bring. I wish there was a market for thumbnail dirt, I seem to have a lot today  :o)   .  have a warm and cozy night Me-Myself&I.
