lone wolf walks the empty avenues of dawn.
sees things here and there, forgotten or unknown.
he's neither happy nor sad, or sorry or mad
it's neither good nor bad. it just is.
not a fad, not for food or gold.
he explores the new and seeks the old.
he leaps in mid-air to steal the moon
when he feels like dancing boldly
on a piano afternoon, and
not a second too soon.
not a moment too soon.

this is such a completely relaxing blog, sangko ♥ (it is totally what i needed to read after a long revved up day!)... thank you so much for posting... the rhythm of your words, accompanied by the music of debussy, like playful winks in kaleidoscope of wisdom filled wry grin...

  • moonriver said on Nov 04, 2009....
    hi ditse!
i'm glad that was the effect on you.
i was trying to capture exactly that peculiar feeling i get after a long and hard night's work -- exhausted, yes, empty, yes, but not necessarily in a negative way.
exhaustion leads to rest, emptiness leads to refilling, end of night leads to start of new day.

in a way, it describes the dreary humdrum of daily work.
but in another sense, there is magic in that, too.
we just need to discover those zen moments.
and debussy has such a calming effect... :-)

that kind of emptiness reminds me of the anticipation of being filled again.

    very nice

    hi lucy!
    you always get me, friend.
after a relaxing piano afternoon, yes, there's the anticipation of being filled again.
and sometimes -- as i'm a man -- that of filling someone up again. lol ;-)

lucy, lewdness is all in the head.
dammit, lady, i was talking about filling up someone's head with ideas about housing and fixtures and riding bikes and going swimming this weekend...!
my god, what were you thinking, you lewd woman! ;-)

    hi memy friend.
i'm glad this one made you smile.
sorry i exaggerated that bit about walking the "empty avenue of dawn."\
it isn't actually empty even at 3 or 4 a.m.
it's always busy if i'll just look at it more attentively.

  • Lucytorial said on Nov 04, 2009....

    LOL made me smile :-}

Swimming is something I can do any time, last night, naked under a full moon...... I was certainly full of ideas.

  • CreativeWoman said on Nov 04, 2009....
It's funny.  I was just thinking of you this past week.  There was a full moon and it made me think of your werewolf tales.

    This is much more serene.

    hi again lucy.
that's exactly the idea, to make you smile and forget your backpain :-)

    hi cw.
just a couple of hours ago, i looked at the full moon too, while on a midnight coffee break at the 5th floor viewdeck of a tall building, enjoying the bracing cold wind, and looking at the city neon lights below (you know... :-).
i thought i'd grow wolfhair that very minute and leap to the next tall building.
instead, i remembered my old friends and loved ones.
and suddenly, i missed them, and felt oddly warm inside.
serenity is like that, i guess.
thanks for dropping by, my friend.

  • queenparanoia said on Nov 06, 2009....
moonriver: oh it's okay you could scratch my back. i like it better than a massage. just trim your nails first... :-)
  • moonriver said on Nov 06, 2009....
    hmmm...
imagine a full-moon wolf trimming his nails so he can scratch a virgin maiden's... back.
    isn't that so funny? lol

  • moonriver said 3 days ago....

in a little while, i'll be stepping out again to empty avenues.
there will be no moon, but i'll try to catch some leonid meteors.
i'll reserve one for you when i drop by berlin next year... ;-)

  • steppenwolf68 said 2 days ago....
Moon, my friend, I live far away from Berlin. I am in the Southwest, south of Stuttgart in a beartiful setting, a very old small city founded even before the Romans lived here, and in about 1.5 hrs from here you can be sitting in a little café in either France or Switzerland. I would prefer to take you to Strassbourg, although there is so much to see here you would be busy for weeks!
I'm serious.... you are more than welcome!
  • moonriver said 2 days ago....
steppen mein freund, stuttgart ist gut.
morgen muss ich abschitt nehmen... :-)
but are there hot chinese rice buns in strasbourg?

  • steppenwolf68 said 1 day ago....
Moonie, I tried to write you a nice info concerning all the Michelin stars around here etc. and then SC's technology nixed it! So...
Great it would be to see you. And if you are really lucky, I will cook for you too! But before you go into withdrawl, I will ask the Chinese restaurant I like to go to if they do rice buns.... just in case.
You know your geography too. You must be one smart Chinese cookie! (sorry about the attempted pun)
I will PM you with name of city I live in and you can see if logistics will really work out.
And no Ratziputz... I don't want to kill you!
