uh... what is there to say.
i wore a corset.
it was awesome.
many compliments
including. but not limited to. "fucking fantasic" which involved said guy turning a beautiful shade of crimson.
there was much sexual confusion in the room we were in.... which i will not go into at this point.
needless to say everything worked itself out more or less and we are all still friends and the bf and i are still okay. whew.
and steamcon was SO DAMN COOL.
many people wandering around in frock coats, brass goggles, time bending machines, corsetry, latex, feathers, odd bits of shiny stuff, and awesome looking ray guns.
i learned how to make a frock coat from a suit jacket and a matching pair of pants....can finish one in less than 20 minutes no less. which is AWESOME.
i learned my best friend is not into girls. which i think i knew already.
alas.
did i mention steamcon was awesome?
many classes on how to make things.... reconstruct things from other things. both clothing and aparati.
a radio broadcast of a really cool comic strip.
an art show.... a bizarre bazaar
which i will be selling at next year.
conglomerations of clockworks and cogs, silks and leather, vinyl and lace.
many many top hats.
with brass fittings no less.
*swooning* .... mostly from the corset....partly from HOW DAMN COOL IT WAS.
anyway.
that's all.
and i wish i'd taken more pictures. :(

fraggles oh my god it was awesome., it was a kinda nerdy thing i guess...... but WAY cooler than any other kind i've been too.... for one thing it wasn't a bunch of teenagers and it wasn't loud and obnoxious.
it was very sedate and elegant.
well, not completely sedate. lol
Uni,. i didn't get many pics. most of the time i was out and about it would have been rather difficult to weild a camera. ... in fact at one point i dropped my room key on the ground and a wonderful gentleman in a top hat and tails had to pick it up for me.....then we wonder why women were seen as the weaker sex.
Hege. it was just really interesting. when i go next year i haven't decided if i'm going to try to rent space in the bazaar or if i'm going to rent an extra room to sell stuff out of.
i'm planning on selling pieces and parts to people who make their own costumes.
feathers, pins, laces and trims and just a whole lot of different things.
