Last night my tummy started acting up.  All rumbly and stuff.  I went along with it and didn't eat too much.  It settled down.

This morning I'm back at it.  I thought it might be from too much sugar lately or too much caffiene.  Now I'm thinking it could be a subconscious scream about having to do that stupid report again.  But ..... it might be food poisoning or the flu.

I can't get the flu.  Not until thursday.  Then I'll be done covering this stupid report.  Until then I'm stuffing myself with pepto, Immodium and ginger ale.  I'd like to stop eating completely so that I don't give my tummy ammunition, but then I get all shakey.

Being sick is no fun.  I may go home early today if these meds don't kick in soon.

hmmm its the report, stupid report..... don't forget too many bubbles will give you gas if your tummy is already acting up.

Lu - I'm willing to believe it's the report, but it doesn't seem to help cure this tummyache.  Not too many bubbles, will drink my gingerale flat.

Sounds like a case of "home sick" this afternoon Uni.

Lu - as soon as the report is finished and sent I'm taking my sorry ass home and sleeping this off.

Immodium and ginger ale are good stuff, but I've never had any luck with stomach coaters if really sick. Emetrol works well for nausea.

If it's the report, wild turkey or a skin of wine might help.

BTV - I have so-so luck with stomach meds.  I'm not nauseous ... yet.  But if it heads that way I'll try that Emetrol.  I joke about it being the report, but truth be told I'm not 100% sure that this isn't a stress case.

Awwww...dammit! As if you needed this?! Gah! These are the times that you need a man who will serve you soup while wearing nothing but a smile, while his tan muscles ripple as he stands there and flexes them just for your amusement....ahem...sorry, got sidetracked...I hope you feel better! ;)

frags - lol, no! go on!  I was starting to feel better the second you got to "man who will serve you" ....

Yuck, I had something like that going on last week, and then now I'm sick with a cold (compliments of my husband ... the ONE time he didn't have to share ... the shit head), so I can definitely sympathize and I hope you're feeling better soon!
  • uniquely-ironic said on Nov 03, 2009....
Hege - well, I hope I don't get a cold next week!  But then, I have no hubby to share one, so I'm pretty safe.  I am feeling better tonight.  Thanks.

I admit, the title was just a random thought while cleaning that literally made me laugh out loud, lol. Glad nobody was home. :-p...
An incoherent rambling on what happens to the body after a weeks worth of sick....
Thought I'd share these few gems from my yucky feeling mind....
So here I am, sitting in the hospital on my laptop. I feel like total shit. Last night, I woke up with a piercing pain in my abdomen. I felt like I was dying. My husband was at work, so I really didn't have anyone to call......
I am sick and tired of being sick and tired!...
