Ok, I'm going to start rambling now, since you ladies were kind (or foolish) enough to suggest I should. So when you're bored to tears of reading my blathering you can only blame yourselves. :-p
I love wit. Little is more attractive to me in a companion than a sharp mind and a quick wit. Rose's post on breath play reminded me of an excellent exchange that occurred between my pet and I a while back.
I had lived for a few years in the US South. My kids were around 5-7 then and they quickly began taking on the local accent and phrases. I once told my pet that it absolutely drove me crazy when my kinds would exclaim "Well dang daddy!" (insert southern twang)
So one night while we were playfully chatting, she came out with "Well dang honey!" in a rather poor southern drawl.
To which I replied "Is that your best redneck baby? "
Without skipping a beat she came back with "My best redneck is definitely right after you've removed your hand from my throat."
Mmmmm. Love that woman! She still makes me smile.
