So, I am sitting at work totally stressing out.

I just can't seem to master the skill of saying "NO"

Oh, I am so sorry, I would love to help, but my plate is just a little too full right.

Wish I could, but I am up to my eyeballs in work, school and housework...not to mention the extra rehearsals.

No, I can't.

Try as I might, I can not manage to make those words come out of my mouth when I need to the most. I think it is a problem that affects many women. I wish I knew why. Anyone have some ideas? I know men (at least most of the men I know) sure the hell don't have the problem.

Anyway...I need to make secret pal forms to take to the studio before class tonight. Seems a simple enough task, and we are slow enough at the office for me to be able to work on them, but of course once I take on something, all hell breaks loose...

Woman are usually care takers.  We want to help.  We want to please.  Saying no puts that in jeapardy in our minds.  But!  You have three fine examples of how to say no, maybe just practice saying them?  Also there is the old "I couldn't possibly say yes in good conscience".

I am drowning my sorrows in a bowl full of kid's cereal - Cookie Crisp, dinner of champions. I could have easily made a case for eating cookies for dinner, but at least this way I can pretend to have eaten real food.

I guess I am pretty lucky because we are pretty good at backing each other up. But there is one subject matter that we are polar opposites on, and its looking like we are going to have...
