Today, as I sit here at 530AM watching the sun come up - yeh it rises early here, fully up by 530am... I'm wondering what kind of fascinator I will be wearing today.
Today folks is Melbourne Cup day, the day as they say that "stops a nation", not that I'm into horse racing at all, its still a fun day.
I have a very sexy and sleek dress to wear, its actually denim, however it is a dark brown with pure gold fleck through it (not real gold, gold looking) it basically looks painted on, wide should straps, and finishes just on my knees. I have very high heals to wear (not good for my back but a girl still needs some girl things right?) and a cute little hand bag.
My boss said she has a couple of fascinators she'll bring in and see which one looks best.
At 1130am we'll be heading off to a Melbourne Cup luncheon, its being held by the Leukemia foudation, so only they benefit from it. People bid on horses to raise money instead of betting which I like, I don't quite like betting or gambling.
Should be a great luncheon, I've ben given the rest of the day off however might sneak back to the office on the 230pm bus and try get a couple of hours in on my end of month.
You'd think being the business owners that you'd prefer your workers to work right? well my boss obviously thinks its just as important to have a good time too LOL I love my boss.
I'm actually looking forward to the distraction, got lots on my mind of late and life certainly is challeging right now, so a free lunch, a little fun and a nice dress should go a long way into lifting my spirits a bit.
