I had decided that yesterday,or part thereof was going to be used to give my cave a little bit of a spring clean, and there was a bathroom cupboard that I had inherited from my parents when they left over a year ago, which I had decided to put up.The question was always which wall it was going on,as I knew that there were either electrical or water pipes running in the walls somewhere.

However in the morning,I was awoken by the sounds of Beyonce asking me is a 'sweet dream,or a beautiful nightmare'? Hhhhmmmm - dunno, jury is still out on that one.Cant remember most of it anyway. But the sound on the other end of the phone,as I wearily rose from my slumber was none other than my older sister in law, telling me that 'tha waashing masheen leeking' - spelt incorrectly I know, but thats how she talks.

The washing machine belongs to me,and when we moved all those years ago,I decided to leave it there,as it was just more convenient for both parties, any washing that I have to do,I take it there on the weekend and do it.Its a lot easier.

So anyway, she tells me its leaking and all the 'waahtah' is coming out of the front and the bottom.I asked her what she did,and she told me she washed clothes in the outside sink and put them into the machine to spin dry.

'Give me about an hour and I will be there, just dont touch anything til then' was my reply.

So I eventually get there, and find that the kitchen floor is covered in soapy 'waahtah'.Realising I left my welly boots at home, off came my shoes and I walked through this lake barefoot to try and find a mop.I was also informed that my dear sister in law was now in one of her many destructive mood swings (she is the laziest piece of flesh on the planet, and is a control freak, she cant help herself) So I was asked if I could look at one of the kitchen cupboard doors that she single handedly ripped off its hinges.I said I would.

Now I am the kind of guy who fears no one.I give respect where its due.So the fact that 'A' was in her screaming banshee of a mood meant nothing to me.I asked her for an action replay as to what she did.It became clear that she had NOT rinsed out the clothes before she decided to spin dry.So the clothes were still a mass of molten washing powder at the time of their entry into the great spinning machine.

Realising this was the problem, and her not wanting to understand me as I explained what she was SUPPOSED to have done, she didnt take it well at all.She never does like being told she is wrong - but I also told her she was stupid.Truth hurts huh? I asked the question 'are you completely ignorant or just plain stupid?'

The next trick was to get it outside,so that I could try and fix it.After enlisting the help of one of my nephews,I got it fixed eventually. However, trying to get it back inside again,it had to be carried into where it was.

And guess who inadvertantly got the heavy end? Yep - Dumbo over here.

Picking up heavy objects without beding your knees, does your back NO good - trust me,I know these things.

But I didnt feel it then, only when I got up this morning. After finished with the machine yesterday,I came home and put the cupboard up in the bathroom.I am not sure whether it was picking this cupboard up off the floor while standing at the top of a 6 foot ladder that did it or not.The cupboard is about 2 feets wide with double doors.Or whether it was the force I needed to use to get the holes drilled into the walls in some places - I dont know.

But for today,I am in pain - yes,I know, stoopid is,stoopid does,I deserve it.But the pain is predominantly on the left where the surgery was done, and its hampering my ability to walk.Visiting the doctor is out of the question,as I cannot afford it right now.Besides I dont like paying people to tell me what I already know.

SO suffering in muted silence today is the trick,I dont mind, its something I have become very good at.

Oh no, well I hope the pain leaves you fairly quickly and you'll be on the mend soon.  Take it easy for a while CJ.  Geez, don't you know any better silly guy?!  :-p

Not sure whether to tell you i'm sorry you're in pain and hope it gets better soon or shout even louder what frags just said!!!  I ought to come over there and whoop your ass Mr CJ!
       Washing machine = heavy thing.
       Bathroom cabinet = heavy thing.
       Drilling = pressure on back.
Back surgery = NO heavy things.
       Back surgery = NO drilling.

Now then young man, you go and rest as much as possible and don't let me catch you doing it again ;-)

    Oh, go on then, here's a gentle hug too ( ( ( ( (  CJ  ) ) ) ) )
