The page you were looking for no longer exists

I'm here, but now I'm going.  Not a lot to talk about, else I'd have a proper post.  Maybe tomorrow at work I'll feel like it, but for now I just want to go pee, pop a bag of popcorn, and hit the sheets with my book.  First though, while I'm thinking ...

~ Did anybody else perusing the halls of SC happen to encounter that ugly error message that directs you back to the homepage?  I got it once, and literally I couldn't help but blurt out 'Nooooo!'  Lol.

~ Guys, would you be upset if your girlfriend, fiancee, or wife said they'd rather you stay home or find something else to do while they go to the doctor(no emergency appointment either, just a regular check up for something not too serious, but just of minor concern), so you're not stuck sitting out in the waiting room?  {My friends experienced this and TFYO is in a huff at OFHG for not letting him go, even though her mom was already there, and he tends to overreact about things anyway, she just wanted her mom there, not him.}

Well, that's all for now.

I did not get this error message  *thank god* =p

Why would he want to sit in a waiting room?  He should probably be doing a happy dance. =p

    Didn't see it

If I thought I could get out of waiting around a waiting room I'd be doing handsprings!

Simply - Whew, so far it looks like I'm the only one who saw it which leads me to believe it was a screw up on my internet's end, thank goodness!  And yeah, that's what I was thinking ... I'd have been glad to be excused from sitting and waiting in purgatory ... err, boredom, lol.

Uni - Dude, I'm right there with ya, I do not know what is wrong with this idiot, lol.

I would prefer that my better 99.9 percent went to the doctors office with me, and go into his/her meeting with me as well. She might remember something that I forgot to bring up.

Actually Hegs, I tried to log on and I DID see the message! I thought SC was a goner! (if that's what you're talking about?)

I think your friend is being ridiculous.  I am a weirdo and I NEVER want anyone with me at my appointments. It's just a big privacy thing for me....so yeah, I think he's being overreactive.

Cant say that I have seen it  - but I know that at around 11 30 am on my side of the world - thats about midnight on yours - I cannot log on at all,as I get an internal error 400 message, and its down for about and hour or so.PC once told me that this is due to them admin people doing their thing on the site.Who knows?

I've had that happen sometimes (the error page) and it ticks me off good!  Didn't happen tonight on SC, but it has been happening when I try to log on to Yahoo, and sometimes when I try to check out the weather, or my old hometown newspaper.  I try again, and it's ok, or I hit "home" (the little house) and it goes to the home page.  I bet they are screwing with things because of the changes they are making.

About the other:  I like to go to the doctor/dentist ect...by myself, too.  If I can.  I hate feeling like I was brought in by an adult.  And hubby is prone to doing anything embarrasing in public, all with good intentions.  If I'm nervous, I don't need to watch him, or else sit a few seats away and pretend I don't know him.  Ha...

Mixed - Would you feel that way if they jumped, whined and flipped out about the slightest thing the doctor brought up that may be normal to you because you've dealt with it for all your life, but not to them because they're still getting to know the process?

Trav - That's OK, sometimes it's just enough to get it out.  :-)

Frags - Oh, no, that's even scarier that somebody else did see the message!  Lol, yeah, I don't want SC to be a goner, but boy did I get paranoid.  And yeah, at first, I wasn't all so keen on my husband going to the doc with me.  Even now, I'm not all so wild about him going into the back with me.  I don't mind him waiting, if that's what he wants, but at the same time, he wants me to go with him, so I let him go in with me.  Weird that way I guess, lol.

CJ - Maybe that could have been it, but I know it was around 10PM-ish for me that I saw it.  Maybe just some early stuff going on.  I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that all is well.

Wombie - Well at least I know my internet isn't solely going wonky, that's a relief, I have enough problems as it is with this thing, lol.  I suppose I should be thankful that my husband is mostly quiet.  He just winds up blending into the background when we go places since he's not much of a talker.

    what error message?
  • mousenphonic said on Nov 01, 2009....

I’m getting a “Diagnose Connection” error every time I try to post something….. Anyhoo, on our other question: I’ve found that a doctor’s visit without hubby is much more effective. He tends to unintentionally turn the doc’s attention to his health problems rather than mine.  But I’ll rather have him there in the emergency room with me than my mother, or worse, my mother-in-law, both of whom struggle to communicate effectively under pressure. Mom has a short temper and starts swearing, MIL has a short temper and starts sueing... <*ms

Queenie - No worries if you haven't seen it.  :-)  Probably a fluke.

Mouse - Oh boy, well I hope you got that connection error figured out.  I think that's one scenario, in the ER, where I wouldn't mind having my mom around.  She's a nurse and besides that, she has a way about her to get shit done without catching lip or getting ignored, but without being loud, obnoxious and embarrassing.  But I'd want my husband there, while my mom was away whipping everyone in shape, lol.
