I've noticed lately a lot of debate about breastfeeding. I for one, don't understand this. I think breastfeeding is a wonderful thing for a child. But in the same breath, I have nothing against a woman that decides to feed her child formula. I don't understand some of these people that insult a breastfeeding mother, or demand that the mother take her baby to a restroom to breastfeed. That's ridiculous.
Really, it's a case of mind your own business. If I'm out at a restaurant, and a mother is nursing her child, big deal. If I'm out at a restaurant, and a woman is feeding her baby a bottle of formula, big deal.
I think alot of problems in society stem from people not minding their own business. It's a free country. Breastfeeding is a god given right.
I breastfed both my children. I had some problems like bad latch, thrush, and worst of all low breastmilk supply. I had to really put alot of hard work into it. But you know what? It was worth it.
I wish I could have had the opportunity to breastfeed my children on demand, but unfortunately I had to mostly pump. So I think any woman that is having no problems with the nursing ought to go for it. It's wonderful and a wonderful bonding experience.
