be honest.  I didn't see this coming.  I didn't expect Obama to do anything directly supporting the gay community.  I had assumed that it was just lip service paid during an election but that nothing much would come of it.  I was wrong.  While I strongly disagree with HOW this was passed.  A gay rights bill has no business being attached to the defense bill.  Adding gay bashing to the official list of hate crimes is a step in the right direction.  God job Obama.  Good job.
