The Times article linked above reports that CNN's prime time programs have dropped to fourth place - coming in behind even reruns of Nancy Grace and that leftist blowhard Olbermann.

Here is a funny (and telling) quote: "When news events are not being intensely followed, CNN executives acknowledge, viewers seem to be looking for partisan views more than objective coverage."

Objective coverage? Who the hell are CNN or the New York Times kidding? CNN is as liberal as the year is long. Maybe their decline to last place in the ratings stem from the fact that they have no idea who they really are - or simply won't admit that they are nothing more than a pack of cheerleaders for Obama. My guess is viewers will sit and watch people who acknowledge where they're coming from and have little patience for fatuous political pretense and holier than thou hypocrisy. At least Hannity knows and declares his politcal perpective. Does Wolfie do the same?

But here is where Obama and his cadre of prissy propagandists miss out: By shunning Fox, they are giving up on a network with literally far and away hundreds of thousands more nightly prime time viewers than any of the other cable networks. According to the article, Greta van Susteren has more viewers than Anderson Cooper and Keith Olberfart COMBINED. Among male viewers in the key 25-54 demographic, Fox News has more viewers than CNN, MSNBC and Headline News COMBINED! Fox News is not just number one, it is the Roman Empire of cable news while the other three account for little more than leftist hinterlands.

For Obama to pass up a chance at reaching - and possibly persuading - members of the Fox News audience in favor of playing to a bloviating minority of sycophants, choirboys  and idol-worshippers is about as stupid a public relations ploy as any public official has ever made. It demonstrates abject cowardice and a disrespect for a large portion of the viewing (and voting) population. In short, Obama's reticence to challenge his critics directly without the aid of his teleprompter demonstrates his inability to act as a proper statesman.

I said this before and I'll say it again: Tony Blair has bigger balls than Obama.

Even Chris Mathews at MSNBC is starting to question Obama.
