  Just like Jesse Jackson, he's a race-baiter.  They have both capitalized on the notion that there are still those out there waiting on their 40 acres and a mule.

    And you know what?  My posting on How the Election Came To Be was in the editorial section in my local newspaper.  There were folks at my place of work that got all upset and ate up with limp-lip on something that they had no defense over.  All they were able to do is brand me a "RACIST".  In the article, it pretty much covers the whole patchwork quilt over the matter in theory.  But nevertheless, the age-old conversation stopper is growing all the more stale as time passes.

    A woman confronted me for writing the article and ended up leaving the room because she was a tad overwhelmed by the fact that I had facts backing up my feelings along with telling her (In so many words) that her knowledge is based on nothing (With a grin on my face).  She expected me to get all upset and defensive as she was, but to no effect.

    I once saw a man with a WHITE PRIDE T-shirt at work.  He was being served cold shoulder and thought of as a racist, but that shirt said nothing about hating them.  He was simply stating that he loves us and himself. WHITE PRIDE is not necessarily synonamous with SEIG HEIL (In many cases, yes).  But for argument sake, it's not always the case.  I'm white, proud to be white and have been involved in interracial dating in my past.  TAH-DAH!!

    It seems that self pity can cause one to feel threatened in the face of another's self- pride, hmmm?  Once again, that's the way I theorize the one-sidedness of the race debate.

  Rush could sue Sharpton et al for libel, but he might have a problem proving harm. Every time these silly Rush-bashers unleash on him, more attention gets paid to him. I doubt he's ever lost a listener and has probably gained a few over time because of guys like Sharpton and Jackson and now the ulta-sensitive nimnods in the White House.
  
  Rush and Hannity listeners have probably noticed that there are quite a few African Americans who call in actually supporting the conservative point of view these days. If anything, conservatives are having more open and honest discussions on race than the liberals who just want people who disagree with them to shut up.

  Beck is in a league of his own. Levin also calls Obama a racist.  I prefer Joe Scarborough myself.
  
  As for Rush being "bad" for conservatives, it is not Rush's job to get liberals to like conservatives. Neither is it Rush's job to be the point man for conservatives. He's just an opinionated guy who makes good radio. Liberals uninterested in anything even close to reasonable debate would like to pin him as the standard-bearer because it gives them an easy target.
  
  Conservatives who try to get along get the shaft from liberals every time. Just ask John McCain. He was the darling of the New York Times when Bush was President, then they dumped him for this smooth talking armchair communist in a silk suit.
  
  Conservatives don't necessarily agree with everything Rush says or does, but at least his voice is heard by right and left. What "moderate" conservative is ever heard from now that McCain is back at his old job?

  That sounds like nervous laughter. bloc, you have to see Sharpton and Jackson for the trouble makers they are. However, not all of it is their fault. I remember in the 60s, when Martin Luther King, Jr. was traveling around and speaking here and there. Often, riots would break out soon after his gatherings. Probably because he fired people up about their race. Was that his fault? You tell me. All I know is, like GANK says, if caucasians were to utter some of the crap that these guys utter every day (including people like Louie Farrakhan), there would be riots in their neighborhood. Racism is bad. Using racism as a weapon is probably worse.

  If he weren't, then he would not have spent a drinking-age-wait worth of Sundays in those pews listening to Jeremiah Wright.  In so many words, he didn't inhale either.
   
  Also, if he was all "WE ARE THE WORLD" he would have not commented on Professor Gates all half-cocked. Half-cocked meaning that there were officers of other ethnicities present, while it was documented that Mr.Gates (A friend of the president) was drunk while flashing his bootocks with his mouth. And the old Jewish saying states, "There's not enough room for the wine and the truth in the same heart."
   
  So, if it's true that you are best judged by the close friends you keep, then it's logical to believe that there are and have been some fist-curling thoughts towards white people in our presidents mind.
   
  My argument is that if candidate-A had any affiliation with any  white militant outfit, the press would milk it to the benefit of candidate-B depending on which wing he favors the most. 
   
   I can still remember the coverage of David Duke in my state about 16 years ago.  Yes, it is true that he was playing "cross-lit ring around the rosie" under lenins (To a much lesser degree than the president).
   
  But if it were a white male republican (or even an Independant) that was to be involved with half the degree of the president, the four wives of the left (CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS) would have burned sattelites out of orbit with it.  It has been done.
