I'm back to this.....I've never understood the difference between medicine and doing drugs in the first place. It confused me in the third grade when I first heard that some people "took medicine" when they didn't need it "to feel good."
Now it seems that pot is in that category of being "between medicine and doing drugs."
I used to indulge, haven't lately (shut up quietone, if you remember my shed experience) but I do think I would rather take a hit or two than chuck down some pills that belong to Joe Blow, or sniff a can of bug spray or just take something because someone said, "Hey, try this!"
I am surprised at that list you wrote out. I qualifiy on all counts, and probably some of the ones you didn't mention.
Should marijuana be legalized? Don't know, but I do believe there's a reason it hasn't been. Remember prohibition?
We should all be able to kill ourselves/feel good with any means available....ha.
But I still ain't gonna snort no Clorox or lighter fluid.
Unless it helps me with chemo.
(which I will never do, either.)
marajuana is frowned upon in this country because the ceo of dupont in the 1940's wanted to sell the american military synthetic rope rather than the natural hemp rope made by the growers of non-halucinegenic marajuana hemp. dupont at that time had enough power, money and political clout to make a case that some types of marajuana were recreational drugs and would 'corrupt the morals of our youth', which people back then believed in. dupont won. richard nixon was also another person to say that marajuana would be the downfall of our nation. richard nixon also said that the media and teachers were 'the enemy'. that's on the whitehouse tapes. but the reason it's still illegal is because of nancy reagan, who was the creator of the 'war on drugs', which fuels a paramilitary organization in this country that for decades has targeted any minority they don't want in their cities with billions of dollars and does nothing to stop the real drug problem in our country.
just more bullshit.
I would use it to control pain, too. I just don't want the pain to be caused by the chemo.
I would (have used) it to control the pain of other things you mentioned.
Sorry---I wasn't clear. I've already decided that I will go ahead and die of cancer before I subject myself to the treatments they push on you. Hubby said so, too. We made a pact.
Maybe we should both be just getting high and saying to hell with it.
Well, he wouldn't. He doesn't smoke, drink, or cuss too much even.
Me? I'm still open to suggestions.
