I don't need to dance at a club where everybody knows my business. I am not there to make friends, or be talked about. I am there to make money. I'd like to say that dancers are people, too, because this is true.

But . . . many of them are stupid and addicted to drugs, and ready to lash out at anybody for anything. It is not easy being the smart one, the kind one, the one who wants to blot out the stereotype.

It is sad that many dancers stick right to the stereotype. Not me. And I don't need anybody there to know anything about me. I go to work, I do my thing.

This job is dispensible, as strip clubs are a dime a dozen.

I am here to stay,on Soulcast, cover blown or not.

And will be dancing at a new club. Where they DON'T know a thing about me.

I knew you would find a solution rarity!

It is good that you are bold enough to stand out from the stereotypical and do what you want...remain at soulcast.

Good for you!! I have the same problem with stereotypes...
When my daytime employer found out about my work as a musician, I immediately was sent to go "piss in a cup". Afterall, all guys in bands are drug addicts, right? Wrong!!

    You go girl!
As much as what I am against strip clubs, so I have come to admire you in what I have read about you in your blogs.
I must say, I find your life rather interesting. I have never met a stripper before and getting to know you through your blogs has been a bit of an eye opener for me. Yes, you are human and do have feelings!
You speak so openly of being diagnosed as a Bipolar sufferer. I have also been diagnosed as Bipolar. It is not something I go around telling everyone about and yet we all know about you and you are still prepared to continue bloging. OK, non of us here on the net have a clue who you are baring the jerks at the club. I admire your courage to continue bloging knowing that they will be reading about you and your life. I think they are just jealous of you.
    You go girl!!

I admire you, Rarity. As I have said before, you live up to your username.

I am glad to see that you are sticking around.

If I were completely robbed of my anonymity, I know I could not have been as blatantly honest as I have been. SoulCast is free therapy. I don't know what I would do without it.

Concerning stereotypes, I know what you are talking about. Because of my string of 'glamorous' jobs, people and customers have always made assumptions about me. The one that makes my blood the hottest is that I am stupid or uneducated. I despise condescending and rude behavior from people that think they are better than me.

You are much braver than I could ever be. And if it makes you feel better, you have broken the mold. You are anything but typical. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

I am sorry your co-workers acted so lame about SoulCast. I am glad you have found a solution to your dilemma.

thank you all for your support, :)

love the new club, it is absolutely gorgeous!

some problems, well, maybe all of them, are blessings in disguise!

Sounds like you found a reason to move on to something better for you. I hope the new place is good to you.

I went to a strip club once and saw such a beautiful girl that I starred into her eyes during her whole performance (okay, I glanced briefly at her body). After I talked to her and, yup, she was a human being too. She was going to college and making much more money doing this than working in a restaurant. She was rather nice. Only later did my friend make fun of me for trying to buy a striper a drink. "How many people don't you think try to do the same?" he scoffed. It's not easy being a nice guy and trying to spend time with a beautiful woman who happens to be a stripper.

i love to meet nice people, customers or not

your friend's comment was idiotic, your gesture was fine i :n buying her a drink

dancers appreciate it, we are who we are and not what we are

i would have loved to have you in my club, have fun, and drink and be merry!
