so i've been on the south beach diet for three weeks now--and i'd pat myself on the back if i could see any results!
I'm pretty proud of how well i'm following the plan--yes I've had cheat days, usually a Saturday or Sunday, but I'm not going crazy--for instance i had a turkey burger with the bread b/c i miss bread and shared an order of truffle fries with my friend--i'm not going crazy and stuffing my face here!
ok and granted i'm not really wanting to acknowledge what my starting weight was--it was between 204-202- the fact that it was over 200 makes me sick--and now i'm around 197--so we're looking at a 5-7lbs lost-- i guess i should repeat the mantra 'slow and steady'
it's all very frustrating-- in high school i got down to 163 and then went up to 175 and was able to maintain that for the first two years of college---then i turned 21 and hellllooo liquid calories!
no alcohol on SB, which i'm a-ok with, not a big drinker to begin with but college is suppose to be the time where you can do keg stands and play beer pong with love and acceptance! lol
anyway- just had to vent my frustration with how sllooooww this is going---my goal is to get 50lbs off by the time i get to Chicago, definitely by the time I start grad school next August--i know it's possible--slow and steady, slow and steady...
