I don't know where you're going with this ? I do know I didn't vote for him and I have no choice but to watch as he destroys my country. I'm not a racist but I've got a feeling he's about to be found out. I seriously believe it won't be to much longer before Joseph Robinette Bidden Jr. will be taking the reigns as Barack Obama leaves the stage as nothing more then a fraud.

Right now, I'm too sick to care.

How much experience do you want your nation's president to have? Just curious as to what the "ideal number" is.

CMan ~ He's either in over his head or he didn't read the job description before he applied for the position.  It requires more than the ability to run a never ending campaign for the next term.

You have the swine flu, P?  There's a flu-like virus going around down here but it isn't the swine flu.  My husband had it...it wasn't a cold or respiratory illness, just fever, fatigue, and joint pain.  Feel better!

Silver Phoenix ~ more than this one has.

I'm just a tad confused...like, when am I not?  Twyla, why do you dislike your President so much?

Blast, it's nice to see you!
Am I that obvious...lol?  I don't like the direction he's taking the country in and I particularly don't like the spending he's doing to accomplish his goals.

He didn't even serve a full term in the senate before campaigning for president. He also supported "partial birth abortion" legislation that pretty much kicked him off of my list of potential choices to vote for in 2008. Giuliani wasn't one of my choices, either. Obama could have been a kick-ass "Karl Rove" type figure for the Dems in 2008 and I would have had more respect for the guy running in 2012, but hindsight is 20/20. It is what it is. He is an excellent campaigner, though. I just don't think he's much of a president and he comes off as nothing more than a sixth grade bully when it comes to politics. He doesn't do his homework (and when it gets done, it's by somebody else) and he doesn't pack a lunch.

He is an excellent campaigner, I agree with you there, J'Dewd, but when does the campaigning stop?
His pre-election speeches were eloquent and inspiring, although very vague in hindsight, and God knows we needed a change after George Bush, but if Saul Alinsky had run for President, would anyone have voted for him?

It doesn't stop. He's only good at one thing and he'll do it for as long as he can.

I'll happily agree that, yes, we needed change after Bush. We were overdue for some sort of change, inspiration and hope, and at the very least a change of the guard. McCain simply didn't fit. Apples to apples, though, Palin had more experience than Obama. Look at Biden, had it been a Palin-McCain ticket it would have practically been a mirror image of what everybody saw on the Dem's side. That might have worked, but again, hindsight is 20/20 and it is what it is. Instead we get a president who uses Saul Alinsky tactics and calls everybody terrorists, racists and lemmings. Perhaps he believes if he says it enough times people may start to believe it.

That's one of Alinsky's rules...just keep repeating it until everyone believes it.

We saved or created (insert number here) jobs with the stimulus.

I'll go through every bill and red line earmarks and pork

Every bill will be posted on the internet for 72 hours for the public to see.

    Where's the truth here?

So he tells us to get a mop. Ha.

I don't necessarially dislike him---I'm not informed enough to make broad opinions, but I do get tickled that he looks like that toy monkey that claps with the cymbols.....has no one noticed that except me?

I just hope he knows what he's doing, and if not, then I hope that someone watching him does.

In the meantime, I have to support my president and hope for the best.

Well, considering you had 'Alfred E. Neuman' at the helm before......lol!
