  I have had a couple of older songs that stick in my head and remind me of being young(ER) again - one of them was the redone version of 'Born to Run' by Frankie Goes to Hollywood - ring any bells?

  cj - Tread CAREFULLY...if you are a dinosaur for for remembering those songs then what does that make uni and I for SINGING those songs? ;)  And OF COURSE I remember Born to Run!!!

  INXS precious heart - it was also my wedding song.... not sure why but thats just me.
   
  The only other piece of music that makes me laugh and cry is Orf.

  Showing my age...used to listen to things like Johnny Cash and Roger Miller in those days before Elvis and the Beatles.....but I was swinging...... and I honestly think I can remember singing this while I swung!  

   

  We had a boxy old radio that we plugged into the socket on the front porch and listened to things like Cash's "Ring of Fire" and "Mountain of Love" by someone.... I liked Roger Miller----Chug-A-Lug was a good one, too!  Oh, and "Dang Me, Oughta Get a Rope and Hang Me!

  You think I'm joshing you?  I can see myself right now.....sitting on that old porch, playing with my kittens and watching my older sisters sing along, just before the turn of the music industry....

  Well, darned if I can't even think of one.  I don't think I had one at all, though very little time was spent on any sort of swing set, so I guess there ya go, lol.

  Coolio, gangsters paradise : ) My cousin Emilia and I would sing that song as fast as we could while playing on the swings, whoever finished the whole song first or whoever remembered every lyric won!  It was fun.
