My head is still all filled with my weekend trip. I'm not really able to do it justice in words. My friend did a fantastic job of showing me around to some of the most beautiful spots as well as some pretty exciting ones. I'll do a readers digest version below, but I'm going to stick in a few pics I took to round it out a little. I think to get a more complete version you'll have to jump over to my flickr account and even then, there are things that this lady isn't gonna tell! ;)
Friday - arrive after an all night flight, discover waffle houses over a huge greasy breakfast, play wii, take a nap, dinner at a local place that had sweet potato fries and a relaxing evening playing with friends kitty.
Saturday - Go to Stone Mountain which is a huge granit rock about 600 feet high and who knows how long, discover they are having highlander games, do a "ropes" course inside the park, take tram to top of mountain, watch laser light show on mountain, bathe kitty and relax.
Sunday - Take a walk along the Chattahoochie (sp?) river which has Columbus, GA on one side and Phenix, AL on the other, do a little driving around to see the "feel" of each town, tour of Ft. Benning, go through new Infantry Museum, grill steaks and drink wayyyyy too many martinis, naked walk through woods at midnight.
Monday - Visit man made lake and get a short walk in, drive through farm country on way to airport, fly home.
