These are the headlines:

Woman plans cruise to the Western Caribbean.Fingers crossed. Hoping to dock at  Belize and Cozumal. Plan on being pampered and waited on for 7 days. A little mix of relaxing and exploring. Perhaps a chance to practice my spanish.

Woman continues to increase her insulin dosage. I am up to 25 units of Lantus at night. It's helping but I'm still significantly high. Have I told you all I LOVE diabetes??

Woman continues to walk each morning. It's pleasant to walk in the cool weather. Not too hot, not freezing. Helps you move right along and so I've been able to walk for about an hour each morning. I lay out my walking clothes and at the last minute I throw them on and head outside. I try to do this while still half asleep so I won't change my mind.  It's a good plan except I can never figure out which way my bikini's go. They're a triangle! Someone else must struggle with this when half asleep! Come on, fess up!

Woman's husband's heart has undergone another cardioversion.Spent last Wednesday at the hospital. Husband went under the paddles for the 7th time. Friday his heart was back out of rhythm again. It's frustrating and depressing. (Possibly the reason for the cruise...)

Woman has sold most of her books from the first printing. My parents feel like celebs in their little home town. My husband is amazed anyone really wants the book. Just shakes his head and mutters, "who would have known?" And me? Well, when my Dad told me that he wanted me to know that it was a great thing for me to have  written it and then told me it's a burden being famous but he can handle it (don't you just love him?), I was delighted. Have started a new book about raising a daughter with a disablity. Rather like picking a scab but it may be helpful to others and myself.

Woman continues studying yoga. It's interesting. Partly to see what doesn't work in my body anymore and partly to see if it can improve. Don't tell anyone but I'm the one who falls asleep during breathing practice at the end of class. The little snorts as I awake are rather a give away...

Woman continues to read all of your blogs. Thanks for writing and sharing. You are all such interesting people.

My best to all. woman

I love the format of this blog! :)  I've been thinking about you, your book, your husband and ... believe it or not, your yoga lately! I was wondering if you were still doing the yoga.  I've been dabbling, I used to think it was all floofy stuff, I had NO IDEA how hard some of the poses are!
  • uniquely-ironic said on Oct 20, 2009....
See?!  I'm not the only one with an exciting life!  Can't wait to read the next book.
  • MissMimi said on Oct 20, 2009....
    Very fun blog.

I'm right with you on the great love you have for diabetes.  I particularly like feeling guilty every time I even think about chocolate.  Diabetes for everyone! (tongue planted firmly in cheek, of course.)

Have fun on your cruise.  I loved the one I went on.  it's worth it even if all you do is sit on deck and watch the ocean go by.
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
CW~Thank you. Glad you enjoyed the blog. Sweet of you.
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Fraggie~Why thank you Ms Fabulous! Especially for thinking of me. I love that you started yoga and, heck yes, some of the poses are killers. (Try napping at the end, like I do. Makes it better!)
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Hi Uni! Nice to have you back. And dear, let us not compare excitement levels. I am the one who falls asleep at yoga, remember?? When the book is completed there will be a copy for you.
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Miss Mimi! Thank you. As far as diabetes goes..Well, let's just say a good time can be had by all! (don't think of chocolate, don't think of chocolate..) I been on a couple of cruises before, the last one to Hawaii, and I do enjoy it. Very relaxing and totally brainless. I do hope to see some new sights too. I love Central America. Big hugs and fight the good fight Mimi.

Woman ~ The travel plans sound fabulous, hmm you're making me envious.

The book!!!! I really want to know if I can buy a copy? pretty please?

You know I know the kind of scab you are talking about, I try to pick mine and I end up bleeding so I stop, then pick again seems it hasn't healed quite properly yet so I'm diverting myself with telling someone elses story LOL distractions are fabulous.

    ♥ to your dad

Take care and you are in my prayers and thoughts. ~see ya

  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Lucy dear! Ahh, don't want to make you envious Lu. It's still in planning but I am hopeful. You want a book do you? No problem at all. I would be honored to have you read it. I can tell that you do know scabs. I'm going to bleed, no doubt about it, but I write a little and then I don't for a couple of days. I think I can do it. I'm trying anyway. I will tell Dad there is a swet Aussie lass sending him love. He'll be over the top.
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Thank you Me-My~We all have our health battles in time. It's part of life. (Not my favorite part!) What is amazing is that they keep letting me back into that class. Really. My Dad gave me more than I could ever give him. And I appreciate your prayers. They are always, always, welcome. Big hugs......

You were way sweet enough without the diabetes, Woman.  And - Cozumel was wonderful.  Dillo and I were there two years ago to go snorkeling and it was fantastic.  I hope you have a great time.

I am loving that your book gave Dad so much pleasure and new-found celebrity status.  How very cool.

    Hugs - Wishy
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Wishy~Talk about sweet...Listen to you!!! You liked Cozumel? We would only be there for a day or so but I would like to see it. Did you view Mayan ruins around there? And yes, the book has made Dad famous in his little town.haha. It's something to occupy his mind in his last years. And one more thing to make us laugh! Hugs back at you Wishy. I hope you are doing well. woman

Seems you delve into the medical events of your life....

Lots of fodder there, isn't there?

  • gingersoul said on Oct 20, 2009....
Woman continues to be one of the sweetest and caring Scaster....;-)

Cozumel is great...just stay away from the too touristic spots...good luck!...

    Hello lady.  :)

I was glad to hear that your book is doing very well!

Sorry about that thing that starts with the letter "d", but I think a nice leisurely walk in the morning is always a good thing, especially when the wind is just beginning to turn...

Everything's orange and yellow here.  It's quite beautiful.
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
dyingman~I delve into my life. Medical issues are just something we all deal with. Thinking about them is NOT my life. Living each day to the fullest, IS. Thanks for reading.
  • UnicornForm said on Oct 20, 2009....
    haha your awsome.
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Ginger~You are always a dear spirit and I thank you for your kind words. I may be rather stuck in the touristy areas because of the nature of cruise ships. It will be an easy trip for the husband though, and just being surrounded by the beautiful water will be enchanting, no?
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Hello Grape! Thanks for the nice words about the book. Yep, we won't discuss the D thing! And it is indeed beautiful right now. I crunch through the leaves and the acorns each morning and I am delighted by the golden trees and the streaks of red here and there. It makes my morning walk a lovely experience. My favorite time of year to walk.
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Unicornform, Thank you. Not sure about the awesome thing but thanks anyway...
  • gingersoul said on Oct 20, 2009....
    Woman....you deserve them...

Just leave the acorn to the squirrels, ok?...lol..

They can be evil and run after you and bite you on the tip of your finger...like one naughty squirrel did to me at the Grand Canyon....*ouch*
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Ginger~How horrid of that squirrel. You sound like my youngest daughter. When she was small she saw a little chipmonk that was caught by a neighborhood cat. She tried to rescue it and it bit her. Her little heart was broken and she kept crying that she tried to help it, why did it bite her. Poor dear. So. I will leave the acorns for the squirrels. Promise. (and thank you)
  • gingersoul said on Oct 20, 2009....
I even took a picture of my bitten finger....lol...
I was so utterly shocked that such a cute little animal could hide that ferocious side...

But i should tell you the whole story....at the Grand Canyon is severely prohibited feeding ANY animals...ok?

Did your truly Ginger follow the directives?...Nahhh....so i saw the squirrel and i offered him a piece of my sandwich...and that ungratefiul fella BIT me....umphhh..

Should i have followed the rules...lol....
  • PAPERBACKWRITER said on Oct 20, 2009....

What a positively {{{heartsqueezing}}} post, dearest woman ♥ ... you have a beautiful spirit, truly inspirational.

  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Ginger~sometimes it takes getting bit for us to follow rules, doesn't it?! Just have to try them out.. "OH, you mean THAT rule applies to ME too??" lol
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Hi Paper!! And you are as sweet as ever, bringing your kind words with you. (but between you and me Paper, I'm still waiting for someone else to confess they are confused about their bikini's sometimes too...........)
  • Hegemone said on Oct 20, 2009....
What a neat way to post Woman!  Sounds like there's definitely a lot going on in your world.  Hope things go well for you in the future as well ... and, well, yes, I do get into fights with my underwear when I'm half asleep too.  ;-p
  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Oh Hege!! Thank you, thank you. I'm so glad someone else's underwear confuses them on occasion too. I feel so much better. Glad you liked the post too. ;-)
  • PAPERBACKWRITER said on Oct 20, 2009....

hahahahaha, I see you are a mind reader as well as having a sweet heart, dear friend!

I´ll just call it coincidence or I have to focus on not thinking thoughts I would rather keep for myself when commenting on your posts, lol... but yeah, I have been wearing black underwear for a looooooong time just so my habit of wearing them inside out or backwards front will not be a nuisance any more, hahahaha

...and yeah, I can use the mommy of 3 card, with little sleep, and always confuse state but I have been like this before I even got married, lol

:) (thanks for the giggles! hihihi)

  • woman said on Oct 20, 2009....
Paper. I wear black ones too. But still, if they are in the wrong direction they aren't very comfortable. Inside out will work though...... I use the old age card!! Thank you for your endearing confession!!! I feel so much better and now I know you are BRAVE!
  • MsStar39 said on Oct 20, 2009....
Congratulations on the book., a cruise sounds great, I am ready for another one.
  • Twylarants said on Oct 21, 2009....
A truly lovely post, Woman.  I'm so sorry about the x-tra insulin...maybe the walk and yoga will put it right.  My thoughts are with your husband.
Your Dad must be bursting with pride over his book and you...he does sound adorable!
Have a wonderful time on the cruise...you deserve it!
  • woman said on Oct 21, 2009....
MsStar~Thank you dear. The cruise does sound great. I hope we can work it out. Where did you cruise before? I take it that you liked it.
  • woman said on Oct 21, 2009....
Twyla~Hi there!! Seem anyone famous lately? The walking and yoga don't fix the diabetes. Been walking for decades and the yoga is fun and no doubt good for me, but no effect on the beg D. It's just a progressive thing and I will eventually get on top of it again. I am just hoping that for now I can stick with one shot at night. My Dad IS totally adorable. You would love him. Fingers crossed about the cruise... Big hugs.
  • beyondtheveil said on Oct 21, 2009....

Take care of yourself and hubby.
  • hairbrushedhubby said on Oct 21, 2009....

Woman, I don't think I've read any of you stuff here yet, but judging by the love and esteem the other bloggers hold for you on here, I am going to start.

Meanwhile, enjoy the cruise and keep writing, I will pray for you and your husband in your health matters, God bless you both.

  • woman said on Oct 21, 2009....
beyond~Why thank you. Glad you liked the hubby's positive spin on it!! And of course you liked Dad's. I'll do my best on the self preservation...
  • woman said on Oct 21, 2009....
Hairbrushed~I don't write as frequently as some do here but I've been around for awhile now. And you are most certainly welcome to read whatever silliness comes from me. Thank you for your prayers. woman

Queenie~Thank you dear. Just finishing it was amazing. The trip is still being planned. We spoke with a travel agent today about all options. All include water, sun, and relaxation, so I guess there can't be a bad decision.......
