Beacuse we all seem to believe that life is meant to be a struggle full of gnashing of teeth and frustrations, we see so little of our happiness we dismiss it like a fly.
Perspective is an amazing bastard...... when we put our blinkers on happiness just fades away, when we take them off and realise that fear really is just a motivtor for experience then we see happiness all around us.
my take, I'm an optomist and naive ~ I like being that way.
Fear is automatic. Happiness should be also, but we tend to overthink it. At least that's my problem ... basically, for me, it boils down to a fear of happiness, if that makes any sense. But hey, I'm aware and I'm working on it!
People are afraid because the world is a scary place. For a lot of people, daily existence is a sheer act of terror. Obviously, depending on where you live, things could be much worse. Like I'm guessing life in Sudan's a pretty scary.
Ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have no teeth.
Like many here, I'm big on the little things and they keep me pretty happy. :)
Wish!!! its been a while my friend. I am starting to understand fear of happiness, as I see others I help deal with that issue.
I think you and Finn could have a good conversation on the subject, as she is in that same trench on the way up to the light.
glad, to see you hanging around.
Unicorn your two for two with Lucy, perhaps you two should swap emails, and get to know each other a little better, I will tell you Lucy is a very interesting lady.
Grape Your new =D, welcome to the world of the strange, or as I like to call the realm of the norm. lol
We all tend to see the world in our own way, when you see it with out fear, the world is an amazing place, full of so much wonder it is hard to understand how it is missed by so many.
fraggle "gnashing of teeth" is an interesting mesh of words, Lucy has that effect, like abstract art put to text.
To all that have answered, please HAVE A SUPER AWESOME AMAZING DAY.
I think because we don't 'allow' ourselves to be happy.
Society is built up in such a complex way, there is little time to be happy. Just ask yourself, when was the last time you allowed yourself to be all over your love? I mean really all over her, you know like when you feel your about to explode. Many never allow such feelings to take form in action.
It is most of the time not socially accepted. It, to me, seems 'modern' to be sad, depressed, tired and so on.
